This subtle burst effect makes a great webpage background without detracting from the main theme or banner, and is a perfect setting for text.
Step 1
Open up a new image in Photoshop, and select a colour in the left hand side menu for your foreground (the top box). Make the background (bottom box) white.

Step 2
Go to Filter > Render > Clouds, Filter > Distort > Pinch. Set the amount to 100% and click Ok.
Step 3
Press Ctrl (and hold), and then F. Do this twice.
Step 4
Go to Filter > Brush Strokes > Crosshatch, and make the Stroke Length 6, the Sharpness 9, and the Strength, 1.
Step 5
Save and it’s finished!
