The feline appropriation society

I’m in the middle of redecorating the spare room at the moment, and for some mad reason I chose grey/silver and teal. Needless to say it’s been hard getting everything co-ordinating, but I’m pretty happy with the stuff I’ve bought so far. I just need to order curtains, put together the furniture when it arrives* and have the feature wall wallpaper put up.

The hardest thing to get hold of was a rug. Not only did most of the ones I could find look like bath mats, there was a distinct lack of teal. Eventually I came across Rugs Centre, which had some gorgeous-looking rugs at reasonable prices.

Unfortunately I couldn’t find any reviews about them anywhere, except on their own site. But after doing a little digging, I found out I had a (somewhat tenuous) connection to them – enough to do some ass-kicking if there was a problem – so I decided to go ahead and order.

It was quick and easy to order (no cashback or discount codes though, sad face), I was kept up to date with full tracking information, and within a week I was the proud owner of a beautiful new medium teal rug.

Or maybe not.

Mine!

It was in perfect condition when it arrived, but as you can see from the fluff above, the cats rather like scratching at it. It’s so thick and lovely though, I reckon it will stand up to the pressure (they get told off when they scratch it and they have plenty of other things to sharpen their claws on, but apparently the rug is the best thing ever).

Best. thing. ever.

If I’d known that they would get that excited about such a simple thing, I’d have bought one ages ago.

The one I bought looks quite blue in the picture on the site, even though it’s listed as teal, which was another concern I had…but it’s definitely teal and it is difficult to photograph, so I can understand the discrepancy.

More rug, less cat

I think guests will be slightly surprised that they have to share a room with the cats. The cats, on the other hand, are just going to be various shades of irritated on a beautiful teal background with a floral setting.

Disclaimer: This RugsCentre.co.uk review was brought to you by Blossom.nu and successfully hijacked by two out of four cats. I didn’t receive any compensation of any kind; this post is purely to help people searching for a Rugs Centre opinion. It’s genuine. It’s good quality. Would buy again, A+, etc. etc.

Your kittens are so cute! Maybe they will get bored of the rug after a while? Hopefully, none of your guests will be allergic to cats!

FYI your Kittehs are so freaking cute on those rugs! That is all.
