About a month ago, I spotted a tweet from @ErbDesigns asking for bloggers to review their store, Erb-Designs.com. I jumped at the chance, partly because I love free stuff, and partly because the jewellery looked so adorable. I also like to support individuals and smaller websites; it’s nice to buy from a friendly face and knowing you’re supporting a creative artist rather than a giant anonymous company.

It took me ages to pick out some pieces to review, but I eventually settled on the Pink Ballerina bracelet, a Who The Mug Are You? necklace, and the Love Hello Kitty charm necklace.

(Sorry that the pics aren’t better quality; I took them with my phone).

My favourite piece is the Pink Ballerina bracelet. I was initially worried I’d break it easily, but it’s very well made and fits well on my wrist too. The clasp is great quality and very strong, particularly considering the price is £7.99, and you’d pay at least double in Accessorise for similar/worse quality. I love charm-style bracelets like these, and it took me a while to look at all the different beads and charms on it. There’s a great mix of textures and shapes as well, which makes it really tactile and I find it difficult to stop touching it because I’m forever fiddling.

It’s a long time since I’ve worn a bracelet, particularly such a girly, chunky one, and it made me realise I should wear bracelets more often. My only criticism is that I wish there was a watch version, but I may buy a little fob when I get a chance and just attach it next to one of the charms.

My sister immediately spotted the ‘Who The Mug Are You?’ necklace and fell in love with it. She has very different tastes to me, and whilst I like girly jewellery, she prefers quirkier things. I chose this to review because it was a bit different and I thought it would be more balanced. It’s definitely something I would wear myself, but my sis has earmarked this one so I might have to buy another one.

I managed to prise it away from her long enough to take pictures, but I’ll be putting it in with her Christmas gifts. It’s cute and well-made, and the chain is a good length. There’s a selection of colours to choose from.

I’m a fan of Hello Kitty, but it’s quite hard to get hold of Hello Kitty things in the UK that aren’t tacky or made for young children. So when I saw this pendant, I just had to pick it. Again this is available in a couple of different colours, and the heart has a lovely frosted colour effect which sets it apart. This necklace is probably suitable for (older) children as well as adults due to the theme. It’s quite simple and subtle, and the silver Hello Kitty charm looks cute.

The pieces came in beautiful gift bags, which was a lovely and unexpected touch. Many places charge for gift bags or wrapping, and as they’re fabric, you can keep them for a long time after. I tend to store my jewellery on stands, but I’ll still get good use out of the bags for smaller bits and pieces.

Erb Designs offers free UK delivery, and also delivers elsewhere in the world for a small charge. The service I received was excellent and the website is very simple to browse, so I would thoroughly recommend them if you’re considering buying jewellery (and it’s not long until Christmas!). I had full communication from Emma throughout, and she was even thoughtful enough to send the jewellery so I’d get it after I got back from holiday without me asking. I’d definitely recommend Erb Designs, and they seem to be adding new pieces on a regular basis so I’ll be keeping an eye out and snatching some more pieces up.

Thanks to Emma for sending me some lovely jewellery and creating a promo code especially for Blossom.nu!

Damn, I wish I had this opportunity. :P

I usually like quirky jewellery too, but I’m okay with girly pieces. I don’t really like bracelets like the one you got though, a bit too chunky for me. I wear a lot of jewellery so I like having a big selection. I like bangles too. :P

I love that middle bracelet. it’s so beautiful and perfect.

A lot of Emma’s designs are a bit too girly for my personal tastes, but I like that you’ve shown what they look like actually on. More likely to buy something now I can see them properly :)

These are so adorable. I am def going to scan through and see what is there. Do you remember when Rose used to make jewelry from LSS? :D

Cute jewelry. I think of the three, the mug one is my favorite. I like quirky jewelry too. So you got these pieces for free for doing the review? That’s pretty sweet. I hope you get a lot of use out of them!
