I know, I know. It’s taken me forever to get a new theme up, but I’m so happy now it’s done! It’s not the best thing I’ve ever done, but I just needed a change (and I’m sure you did too). I feel a lot more motivated to work on the site with a fresh new look, and I’m angry at myself for leaving so long between blog entries, never mind updates
Hopefully everything should look right and work properly – if you see anything that looks wrong, just leave a comment or use the contact form.
Big thanks to those who left comments on the last entry…I think you guys have finally helped me figure out what I want to do. I think it’s time to archive old content and leave it to rest, and then fill up on relevant, up-to-date articles, thoughts, tutorials, freebies and so on. I’m far too old for dolls and quotes; I’ll keep them because they’re popular, but they need to be less prominent I think!
Life has been its usual hectic self recently. I love my new job lots. I spend my days writing blog entries, tweeting, developing and adding content to the company Facebook page, reading the latest web, technology and social media news, brainstorming and lots of other things. I’m enjoying coming up with my own ideas and writing all day without interruption. I’ve already been to the city’s business awards, I’m booked in for a web design conference in January, I’ve interviewed a few amazing people and I’m hopefully going to be writing articles for a couple of national computer magazines as well. Really excited and happy with the way things are going
As usual, I just wish I had more time!
Yesterday I went to see The A-Team with Rich. Despite never actually having seen an episode of the TV series, I thought it was pretty good and it was easy enough to follow, though I suspect I missed out on a couple of the in-jokes. Not sure anything’s going to beat Inception this year, but I’m yet to see Toy Story 3 so who knows!
My parents and sister have a new addition to the family – an adorably cute black baby poodle (who I’m yet to meet). My dad offered to sell him for one of his friends (who for some reason decided to buy a poodle when living in a one-bedroom apartment), but I doubt he’ll leave our house now he’s got there. From the sounds of it they’ve all fallen completely in love with him – he hasn’t got a name yet, but I think they’re toying with Fonzi or Pepper
Any suggestions…?
I’ve joined another couple of social networking sites; and . Good Reads is what I expected really, and it’ll probably take me at least a couple of years to add all the books I’ve read and rate them, let alone write reviews! Dopplr has a lot of room for improvement – I went on trips years ago and can remember the months and years but not the days – yet I have to enter the exact dates I went. Also, apparently ferries are the only type of boat you can travel on
I might add some of my older trips, but I’ve been to so many places over about sixteen years so it’s going to be tough.
Right, I think I’ve earned a break now so I’m going to start reading one of the new books I bought!

*waves* Hi, I'm
Looks great!
Our dog picked his own name, lol. We had three that we were undecided on.
We wrote each on a piece of paper and put a biscuit on top.
Let the dog loose and the first biscuit he ate…became his name.
Dublin, btw, that’s his name.
Although we should have named him Hoover, as he eats everything off the floor like a vacuum. lol.
Grettings! I only wanted to appreciate you for your very interesting posting. Blogs like this are a really perfect method to assist me in English, but I think I got the meaning ok
Thank you again!
Woot! This is a lovely theme. The sketch cum chalkboard design is really appealing to the eyes. Great job on that Jenni!
I am glad you love your new job. Sure there is so much to do but the rewards are sweet; be they monetary or non-material rewards.
Baby poodle, yay! I don’t know what name would be suitable for it since I don’t have the experience of raising puppies. But I do own cats and the names I gave to them aren’t exactly the nicest sounding names anyway. But Pepper sounds cute enough, though.
I’ve got an account Good Reads too. But it’s been so long since I’ve logged into it because I simply just don’t have the time to do so. :/
I don’t understand either why the uni staff can be all snobby and rude. Maybe I should sit down with them and do an interview. Hahaha!
Great stuff here.
I love this theme! It looks great
It sounds like you have a pretty awesome job.. I wish I had one like that!
And it is weird how music and design relate, but I guess it’s because we like to design things we can relate to.
Wow, I haven’t been here in ages! I love the new theme! It’s simple, yet also has a lot going on. It’s great!
I completely understand about the dolls. I can’t wait to see what new content you come up with.
I don’t particularly like the name Pepper for black dog, just because it’s so common. I can’t tell you how many Pepper puppies I’ve seen! But that’s just my opinion.
I LOVE the new theme!!! You’re right, archiving the old stuff’s a great way to go. I should do that. I just leave the old stuff up so that people can look at it, but it’s kind of… In the way now? LOL.
I’m glad you LOVE your job! =)
Toy Story 3 was awesome! I’m not going to see Inception, so… I can’t compare it. Haha.
Aww, yeah, it’s so easy to fall in love with a dog… Hehe. No suggestions from me… But good luck!
What books did you buy?
I feel like updating loads when I create a new theme. I’ve had my theme for ages. I’ve had a theme under construction for ages & ages now.
Your new job sounds amazing. Being able to do something you enjoy everyday is just nice. Imagine having to do something boring or something you dislike everyday. Glad you like your new job
There’s social networking sites for everything else days. I love reading books but I don’t really have that much time to read enough. Takes me a long time to get through a book.
I’m in love with the new theme!
It’s fabulous.
I can’t wait for the content re-vamp! Always so exciting.
What is your job? It sounds really exciting.
I’m glad your loving your job.
I’m glad you like your job! I’ve had several jobs, temporary ones… the permanent one I have is okay, but I don’t enjoy it all the time. Sometimes I just want to try something new haha.
I love the new theme! I’ve wanted to try a layout similar to this but haven’t tried anything like it yet.
I like the blue colours.
Not sure on a name for your poodle. Pepper sounds nice, though. You could try something simple like Max? I’m not too sure, I’m not that good with names.
Your job sounds amazing; I’m jealous!
Love the new theme. Pepper is such a cute name.
Ah, I quite like the new look. All the grungy doodles and the header title looks really cool together.
I’m glad you like your new job. Sounds like you’re doing something you like, and for that I envy you. I’m still in that state of mind where I have no idea what to make my career out of. Boo.
In the few moments before I sleep, I always think about tomorrow. What will happen tomorrow? What happens when there is no tomorrow? My questions for God, assuming that he’s able to answer me in some way, would probably be along the lines of “is there a meaning of life at all?”, “why is there good and evil? (Because if “we didn’t have evil, we wouldn’t have good”. But what if we didn’t have good at all? We wouldn’t miss something we never had.)” and something similar.
I was thinking about questions that didn’t involve individual persons, because those answers would (almost) always subjective. I was interested in questions that had one answer. You can almost say that I wanted facts.
Pretty good post. I just stumbled upon your blog and wanted to say that I have really enjoyed reading your blog posts. Any way I’ll be subscribing to your feed and I hope you post again soon.
The new layout looks great. I really like what you did with the header. Have fun with the job. It’s great that you found something that you really enjoy.
What was the symbolism of the spinning top?
Thank you – I DIG photoshop tutorials! So have your blog bookmarked!
