I’m a big fan of lists, and recently I’ve been signing up to a lot of social networking-esque things which allow me to make lots and lots of lists (my Tumblr is , and my Remember The Milk is ). My latest interest is the project – which a lot of people create manually, but since I found a website which tracks everything for me I’m doing it that way. 101 Things combines two things I love – lists and goals. Whilst I’m not an obsessive over-achiever, I like the psychological benefits of moving forward, and the physical act of ticking something off a list or crossing it out. I have hundreds of lists all over the place, from work tasks to shopping to aims for Blossom.
is a mix of short-term achievable goals, things I would like to do, and long term things which will change my life. That way, I’m keeping myself motivated with goals I can achieve, and also thinking about the next few years and what I want to accomplish. My list also incorporates most of my new year’s resolutions, which admittedly could be going better…
I’ve spent some time browsing some of the other lists on there, and it’s inspired me to add more things to my list and has also helped me discover some new sites. So now all I need to do is get my head down and actually start achieving some of these things. Have you got any goals for this year or the next couple of years? If so, where (if anywhere) do you keep track of them?
(Side note: I’m aware that this entry sounds kind of like a sponsored post, which it’s not. I’m completely against having sponsored content on Blossom, and unless I end up on the streets, it’s never going to happen).
This evening I’m going home for a nice long weekend, and hopefully a nice long rest. The only thing standing in my way is my laser eye consultancy appointment tomorrow, which I’m not yet feeling nervous about – probably because I’ve been completely rushed off my feet every day and every evening for the past week or so. Last night I went to the cinema with Rich (love Orange Wednesdays), and saw ‘I Love You Philip Morris’, which was bizarre but funny. Jim Carey’s character was very lovable and Ewan McGregor was pretty good too. It wasn’t perfect, and it was very rushed at the beginning, but it seemed like a good choice with some of the other rubbish out at the moment. Next on my list is ‘How To Train Your Dragon’, which looks great – I love dragons!
I’m looking forward to Easter because it’ll be nice to have some time to catch up on life in general. I’m intending to put aside at least two days for working on Blossom related things because I have so many new ideas and I want the rest of the site to look good before I implement them, or even start working on them. Why do websites never end?? Also, I made a new theme banner a looong time ago (beginning of February), which is very unusual in that it’s Lady Gaga meets Anne Boleyn – beat that for randomness! I need to code a new theme and put that up..and also I have a banoffee pie recipe and some new photos for the stock photo gallery. Busy busy busy! So, what have you been up to recently?

*waves* Hi, I'm
I am not a list maker but I should be. I really. Really. Need to start making lists.

Good luck with your goals! =) I only have a few goals in mind, and they’re not written down anywhere.
Anyways, I hope that you’ll have a great Easter with all of your plans for the site! And LOL, yep, websites NEVER end!!! Even for work!!!! =( LOL.
Good luck with your 101 list! I’m thinking about retiring mine, to start a new one with my bloke – half the goals involve him anyway, lol ^__^
I have a 1001/101 list in my journal that I cannot for the life of me finish! It’s an awesome project, though.
I never have goals because I never get to them.
Get the them upon here.
I ain’t been doing nothing.
Thank you for crossing your fingers.
I have a backup thingy that sends emails to my account now so I should be good.
The lists thing sounds pretty cool! I love making lists, although I never actually complete lists that I make because I procrastinate wayyy too much.
I’m really excited for easter break too, even though it’s only a 4 day weekend.. it’s better than nothing xD I’m hoping I don’t have to work a lot, and I can just spend the weekend relaxing.
I like your list! I’m actually considering getting my own now. Will you keep adding until you reach 100 goals (since you have 88 now)?
Hope you enjoy your weekend and that it’s relaxing! I want to see How to Train your Dragon also..it looks cute. xD
That’s crazy lol, best of luck with it, i am still putting together a “bucket list” but as for 101 things that is going to take dedication.. bookmarked your site this should be interesting to see how you go.
Best of luck with it
I’m a big fan of lists too. But not TO-DO LISTS!
)
My to do lists never seem to get shorter.

I’ve got a list of life goals, but the 101/1001 things sounds really cool! It’s a neat way to make short term and long term goals… I may have to look into that!
I have made to-do lists in the past, but I’ve never finished one. I always end up ditching it.
Good luck with your lists

Ooh, that whole 101 things in 1001 days thing sounds awesome — Although I think if I do it, I’m not gonna include the numbers, y’know? Just take a more Zen appraoch to it, write down everything I wanna do in my life, ((That’s actually accomplishable,)) And then just keep that list around for reference in the future.
I know that kinda defeats the whole idea, but still! XD; I like my variation, LOL.
And in response to the comment you left on my older entry! ^^
I loved this idea the instant I read it — But then I was like, ‘Aw, man, I didn’t invent this recipe/idea myself, so I’ll just feel like I’m stealing material from Michelle Phan’. x_X;

I love having lists, too!
Lists keep me going, actually. Keeps my life on track also. I’ve heard about that website before but I have yet to sign up for it. Seems pretty interesting and it would be nice to look at other people’s lists also.
Good luck trying to get Blossum how you want it. Everytime I try and get my site up, I usually have clients wanting new or complaining about old things. Have a good Easter.

I’ve been meaning to start one of those list, however I’m likely to forget and not even bother logging on again.
Good luck with completing the things you want
I have many content pages I want to write on my site too, but lazy lazy lol

I am about to sign up for that milk thing. OMG, best thing ever, lol. How have you been??
Lol, I love making lists too. Mine’s definitly a “if I don’t write this down NOW, I won’t remember in 10 minutes”. I have my 101 list done, but I never posted it to my blog… so I feel like I don’t have to start it yet, haha. Lol, I think one of mine was also “keep plant alive” which then proceeds into “grow something.” I’m a horrible plant killer.
Are you going to have a laser eye surgery? I had it a few weeks ago, it is awesome
good luck in the appointment!
I also like lists, but I wouldn’t sign up to something like that online.

I was blog surfing and came across your site. I just read this and remembered a blog I wrote a few months ago. It was pretty much the same idea. I have a large list of TTDBID (Things To Do Before I Die) on my site. I am starting to get quite the list together. Check it out and maybe you will get some ideas. I love reading others lists and thinking about what I have accomplished and what I will accomplish.
I also love lists and goals. In fact, my current blog entry is on that topic! I don’t keep lists now as much as I did in the past when I was in school but you can still find some. Usually I just have them on paper. I have some lists on my computer too. I am going to check out your 101 in 1001 list and see how that site works. Maybe I will publish mine online as well.
