I’ve been having a problem recently where my WordPress admin panel keeps redirecting itself to 404s and 500s. I thought it was just WP itself playing up, until I looked into it today in my lunch hour and scared myself half to death with accounts of viruses and the like. I was half-relieved to get home and discover my files hadn’t been touched; however the other half of me was wondering how exactly I was going to figure out the problem. I thought I’d type a quick post – but the new post page wasn’t working at ALL
Support posts on the WP site led me to looking into my htaccess files, but they didn’t turn out to be the problem. A few files just needed a quick CHMOD since they must have got messed up with the site downtime previously…and fingers crossed, problem solved. It’s weird how I can (occasionally) be clever at some things and yet totally stupid the rest of the time
Need to stop panicking and put problem-solving head on.
I’m in the process of editing the photos I took. Unfortunately my old Sony Vaio died (going to buy a new charger and hopefully it’s the connection causing the problem) to rescue some of my other photos. But I’ve got lots to work with. Though some of them came out pretty well, I’m thinking of doing another vector-style theme with some soft browns, greens and either pinks or purples. We’ll see though, because I usually end up with something completely different to what I originally intended.
Now, fingers crossed this posts, and I’ll blog quickly tomorrow if it does

*waves* Hi, I'm
WordPress and CHMOD? I never CHMODed anything related to WP before…. Not that I remember. LOL. I hope that you won’t have the problem again!!
Good luck with your laptop problem! My sister had that problem with her laptop, and it’s the connection problem… Not with the charger, but the thing inside the laptop that connects it to the charger.
get a beter host such as hostgator where you do’t need to CHMOD files
