More updates are floating around, though the past two days has been mostly behind the scenes work. Thanks for all your input! I’m still working on fixing issues.
Layouts with black backgrounds usually annoy me after about 5 minutes, but I’ve been playing with this layout for a good couple of weeks now and it’s still bearable. However, if you preferred one of the other themes, you can now select it again as the Change the Theme page is back now.
One thing I’ve noticed (and has wasted a lot of my time) is that WordPress seems to be incredibly slow, even when I’m using the Internet at work. Whether this is because of so many pages or posts or plugins or comments I have no idea, but I did kind of hope it would get better once I upgraded to the latest version. But it hasn’t made any difference. Oh well. On the bright side, my connection decided to let me upload both images and files *gasp* so I was able to do a few extra things tonight. If it continues it will make uploading the hundreds of pictures I’ve taken over the past few months for the Stock Photo Gallery a lot easier.
I said I’d bake a cake tonight because it’s Karen’s birthday tomorrow, but I haven’t yet started and I should really have finished!! The recipe takes quite a while as well….I may have to rethink a bit, or maybe cheat and just do cherry/chocolate buns and cornflake cakes….hmm…
This weekend I’m off to Nottingham for Joe’s birthday. Civilisation here I come!!
I love my dad…I didn’t even mention work to him and he was basically like, ‘If they give you any shit, just tell them to piss off and come back home’ on the phone tonight. Not that I ever would because I generally do give as good as I get and plus I don’t want to burn my bridges, but occasionally it is a bit tempting 
I think he said it because he wants me to go back home, and I definitely do miss the north. But I’ve met a lot of great people and even though the job is quite stressful and manic sometimes, it almost seems worth it

WP is slow thanks to plugins. The more of them you have the slower your blog will work. You either have to live with slower site or get rid of some plugins.
Yuuuuum cake, hope you made a good one! And yes, even though it sucks at times, there is always something good about a job, though it may not make it worthwhile.. lol
The layout is great, but this colorful background with white font which I write on it now isn’t a good idea – I nearly don’t see what I’m writing
oh and – we’ve got similar daddies

I love the design however the background in the comment box is terrible. You need to either make it darker or change the font color to black.
The header looks cool, but I think it takes up too much valuable screen space.
