The layout’s finished, the new content has been mainly uploaded…so why are you not seeing a new and improved blossom.nu yet? For the simple reason that it still needs a few tweaks, and I need a proper internet/ftp connection to completely finish it. Because of that I’ve decided to hold off for another day – I’m intending to head into work for 8am tomorrow, work on it for an hour, then work through my lunch and half an hour or so after I finish. That should be more than enough time to put the finishing touches to it.
After it’s up and ready, I’ll be editing old content and adding new as much as possible. I have a lot of ideas for new things to add and I’ve given myself the task of working on improving the content for at least an hour every week day. Most of my free evenings since November have been spent writing reviews. It’s a nice extra income – it provided me with money for Christmas presents for my family including a Samsung digital camera, I’ve recently bought my external hard drive, and I’ve bought Joe’s birthday presents and some extra DVDs and books for myself. But now it’s time to get back into my old web design more. It’s very theraputic, particularly the design part, and I’m planning to start work on another new theme soon. Additionally, it gives me a lot of satisfaction on completing a task and being happy with it, which is definitely something missing in my life right now.
I won’t deny it, if I can make a bit of money from my site then I will do. But I’ve always stood by the conviction that sponsored blog posts are not something I want to do on this site. I may introduce them on my money blog, or offer something relevant e.g. a blog post about a personal website for a small cost, but there will be nothing you’ll want to skim (hopefully!), and nothing which is obviously not directly related to me or the content of this site.
Friday we went for a work night out as two people have left. It was good fun 
Yesterday I went shopping (yay pay day) and got 6 new tops and a coat for about £50. I still need new shoes though. Today we went to a country park for a walk and a drink, the weather was beautiful and I took some good photos with my phone which will be uploaded sometime soon.
Just finished a pilates workout and taking a break before doing some yoga. Then after that I’ll probably carry on with my book, I’m reading The Devil Wears Prada at the moment, and it’s weird how much I can identify with the whole job side of it. Obviously nowhere near as extreme, but it’s food for thought.
Anyway, check back tomorrow for the grand reopening and new-look site

Instead of trying to make money by posting ads and stuff like that you could try doing some freelance work. You obviously know a lot about design so I’m sure you could find people interested in you skills.
