Unfortunately, even though I have mobile broadband, it hates FTP with a passion. It will let me upload things, tell me they’ve been uploaded fine, and the files will even be listed in FTP – yet they seem to be damaged in some way as downloading them back to my computer shows them as being un-previewable and unopenable, and they are shown as broken on the Internet as well (both at home and at work).
So everything I’ve been doing is as a result of snatched minutes, and working between the connection at work and the connection here *sigh* My attempts to get up early and go into work early to use the Internet for web design then as well as at lunchtime are not going too well because I’m not sleeping so well and find it difficult to get up in the morning as it is. Doesn’t help that it’s so cold! Staying late hasn’t been possible over the past few days because the only guy around with a key at the moment gets in early and so wants to leave early. But I’ll be back to my parents for Christmas soon and I’ve got a lot of stuff to sort out with my mum Internet wise so I should be spending a lot of time on it. I haven’t decided whether or not to take my laptop back with me over Christmas…it’s an extra thing to carry but then at least I can have some form of Internet whenever I want it. Hmmm….
In other news, I’ve been spending time earning money online for Christmas presents still. I’ve made about £80 so far, which isn’t bad going and is a mixture of cash and Amazon vouchers which I’ve already ear marked for something for my mum and Lars.
So this blog is really to plug my new blog, which is about . I’m working more towards search engine optimisation – definitely a perk of my job to be involved in an environment where it’s a term tossed around and concentrated on – and hope to make it pretty active. Yeah, waking up early doesn’t help me at all… I’m not a morning person either, and yeah, with the cold, it’s even worse.
