Weather and work…I’m getting all old
Over the past few days it has been boiling summer weather. Which is all well and good, and I am appreciating being able to go outside without taking a jacket, and being able to work on the garden – but having to dress formally for job interviews and have them conducted in stifling heat is not so much fun. Yesterday the weather started to take a turn for the worse, but it didn’t start cooling down until today. I suppose it’s kind of a ‘grass is always greener’ situation, because now I’m annoyed I can’t give the decking a second lick of paint, but oh well. There’s lots of painting/decorating to be done inside, but the paint is beginning to annoy my throat (I spent a lot of time yesterday painting skirting boards and door frames – fun fun).
What’s your opinion on the new look Facebook? I have to say that I’ve been browsing the protest groups against it, and it amuses me. From the time I’ve spent on very interactive websites, such as when I was heavily involved with the forum, it always seemed like you can’t please everyone. However, I have to be hypocritical and go with the, ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ mentality on this one. I guess that, like other things, it’s all a case of getting used to the new structure and layout. I’m also assuming that there is a reason behind merging wall posts, photos, statuses etc. all as one thing. I’m going to do more reading up on it to find out about the less obvious changes and their reasoning behind them.
But before that, I’m off to meet Tabi, and probably Jamie, at Warhammer World for gaming and painting on a much smaller scale. And hopefully a late lunch too
