Ages and ages

It’s the end of April and this is the first blog of the month. Naughty Jenni.

I bought Wii Fit today and it is amazing…unfortunately it means I got no work done. But I’m tired out now, so I’ll probably open up my drama essay soon. Had the presentation for that module yesterday and I’m generally happy with how it went. I’ve got into all the unis I applied for apart from Warwick – it’s been two months and I’ve still not heard from them :/ I don’t have much respect for a university that doesn’t stick to its own deadlines, I must say.

It’s very hot today here (Nottingham) for England, 18 degrees C and almost 50% humidity. I took a hayfever tablet before I went out this morning thank God. However, it is definitely t-shirt weather. By the time I’d walked into town, deposited cheques and wandered around, then gone to buy Wii Fit, I was already ready to go home. That thing weighs an absolute ton, I was tired out by the time I got back! Luckily I bought ice lollies the other day though :) Standing in the queue in Game, they only had pre-ordered ones left (would have been helpful to see a bloody sign saying that), and so I told a woman in the queue with me that they were selling them at Zavvi (I’d been wandering around comparing prices), where we each managed to get one. She was really nice actually, I’m glad I could help her out.

So…what else? At the moment I’m working on a 10,000 word dissertation, a 5,000 word language project and a 3,600 word drama essay. I’ve finished my 500 word presentation evaluation and the 40 minute presentation itself, so that’s something out of the way. At least I don’t have any exams, something to be grateful for! I am snowed under with work though, that’s pretty much all I’m doing right now (err…slight lie, fairly hectic social life as well, the most recently notable being a double bill of plays at the theatre that I went to see with Bethany, and I’m looking forward to a roast dinner with Rich and Jess tomorrow).

I did read bad things about lovefilm, and I think that I’ll cancel it once the free trial is up (30th May). Plus we aren’t watching as many films as I thought, so it wouldn’t be worth paying for. My current package doesn’t allow me to get Wii games, and I doubt I’d see many of them anyway. So far it’s not been bad service though. 1 film was too scratched to play on my sister’s laptop, and they haven’t always sent high priority ones (even though they aren’t new releases), but meh. It’s free, I’m not complaining.

Last night we went to see 21. It wasn’t one of my all-time favourites, I have to say. When you can not only guess the next word, but guess the next sentence and the next events, it’s too predictable to be enjoyable. I was tempted by Fool’s Gold, but that got bad reviews so I chose 21 instead…meh. Maybe it was a bad decision.

My Mario Kart game won’t play. Which is probably a good thing, because I need to clean the bathroom and get my drama essay finished…so bye for now :)
