Where is all the time going?!
This blog is brought to you by special request – you have Rafia to thank for this! I know I’ve been really bad about blogging in the past month
An extra day this year has been completely unnoticable as yet.
At the same time that I’m not even blogging, I have a weird urge to strip this site of everything and start afresh (other than my blog). I have lots of new ideas that I’m eager to try out, and everything is very messy and dated. This will have to be put on a back burner until after my degree though because I have absolutely no time. It’s crazy.
In other news, some guy was telling me last night about when he was 16. He received a letter from Liverpool Uni telling him he’d missed his second yr nursing exam (!) and when he phoned up to tell them he was still in school ANYWAY and hadn’t been anywhere near them, they said ‘Are you sure?’ Lol. At least, as I pointed out, that means he did well enough to pass the first year?!
Today’s plans are food shopping and uni work-ing. I need to write the first part of a drama presentation and get my dissertation going. Yesterday I went to the gym and the library, then home, then Richard’s. I sent my mum some great bargains I got from a shop that was closing in town – all craft stuff, and all cheaper than she can normally buy, so she was pretty excited when I called and told her. I also sent someone special a card
Next (academic) year is beginning to fall into place – I have offers from 2 universities out of 4 so far, and I only sent my applications out last week. I’ve also got tenants for my house for next year, which is awesome.
This month is absolutely going to cripple me as far as spending is concerned; other than Mother’s Day, which wound up being quite expensive but not too bad because my sister chipped in a lot, I have five birthdays to buy presents for. Richard’s and Joey’s are already taken care of, Kieran I’m planning to buy food of some description when I next see him, Vitushni I’m not going to see until next month, and Lara I’ve bought a couple of small things for so far and I’m paying for half a concert ticket for her.
I also used a lovefilm.com promotional code to sign up recently – it’s freaking awesome. I love it. I worked about that it costs about 50p a week with the free trial, and that’s more like 25p when you take into consideration that Joey and I are sharing an account, and I signed up with one of the more expensive plans. Added to this, you can also cancel your free trial without being charged. They are also super fast at delivering the DVDs. If you’d like to sign up and say I referred you (stargirldotorg@hotmail.com), I wouldn’t complain
Google ‘lovefilm promotional code’ to get a better deal. I’m trying out loads of films that would normally cost me £3 at least to rent each, and that I wouldn’t like to buy in case I hated them. Although googling reviews, they seem to be quite poorly rated, and if I have any problems in receiving/playing DVDs, I will cancel before the trial ends.
Okay, so I’m going to tidy my room and then get started on the day. I feel like I’m already behind with work, even though my assessments aren’t due in until May…
