What’s this?! A new theme?! Surely not??!! Yep…I finally got working on a new header image this morning, and ‘lazily’ used a pre-made theme to get a new layout on the site. Yes, in some ways it’s lazy using someone else’s coding, but it has still taken me several hours to alter the coding and adjust it to fit the site, and there is still a tiny amount of tweaking left to do.
It’s a very egocentric theme, and it’s not particularly summery, but I’m guessing you guys got even more bored with the same old themes as I did. I’m thinking of getting rid of the ‘Pink Scrabble’ theme, I don’t like it (other than the colour). Thoughts?
I had to force myself to sit down today and work on Blossom – I keep putting it off despite the fact that I have all this free time, now it’s summer. Other than working in Oxfam one afternoon a week, I have nothing else regularly scheduled, and I’ve been spending lots of time playing Wii, watching Fear Factor and The Crystal Maze, shopping, reading and taking the dog out. Just relaxing and chilling, particularly as the weather is so bad.
Once I got into it, however, I really enjoyed myself. Luckily the coding of the theme was fairly straighforward, and I didn’t run into any major coding/altering issues, or I probably wouldn’t be feeling as good about it. It’s definitely inspired me to get some new content going, and the photos I’m going to take on holiday will provide material for more new themes, as well as bulking up the stock photography section.
Talking of which….the holiday. I spent ages trying to find a holiday to fit everyone’s requirements, and then it was abandoned due to the cost, even though it was a reasonable price *sigh* Anyway, it’s a long story of negotiation and calling up places, but it’s now just me and my mum going away – but it’s a cruise, so yay! We’re flying to Majorca, then spending a week cruising Tunisia, France, Spain and Italy, so lots of chance for sun and photo opps. I can’t wait, the weather here has been so bad/drastically changing from sunny and hot to rainy and cold. I need some sunshine! It also means an excuse to go shopping – I need some bits and pieces. The ship looks great – gym, spa, bars, restaurants and pools, and of course a cyber cafe lol. So if I get time to blog, I may well be doing so from the Mediterranean Sea!
But until the 17th, I will be working on Blossom, and trying to revive both it and Starshine. I’m determined to keep them both going for at least a little while longer.

I have been so busy…haha. I’ve managed to update a little…it’s hit an all time low…but I’m really proud of myself that I have this many visitors, so I have to keep updating if I want more. ^^ That is my motivation, lol. Thaks for the congratulations!! ^___^ The new skin is really chic…suave…haha The colors and design are good. And your pictures are pretty. ^^ It’s good you could enjoy updating your site again. It’s not worth it if your site is a chore. The cruise sounds really cool! @_@ I’ve never been on one…you’re going to so many places…wow…=)

The layout is great! You’re really pretty. I’m struggling to create a decent layout for my site, it probably doesn’t help when Freewebs won’t let me on. Suppose it serves me right for using a free host, hah.

Wow, Jenni, I love this new theme! Those pictures of you are so pretty; you look awesome! And I don’t care the theme isn’t sunny – I prefer “duller” colours anyway and so I love these!
Don’t you just love holidays when you can just sit down and relax? I think after a period of working really hard it’s so nice!
And about the weather: it’s exactly the same over here in the Netherlands. I don’t mind though; I don’t much like heat though a little sunshine and a little higher temperature wouldn’t be that bad.

haha, it’s super dorky on my part, but i do love having a new layout or content; it makes me feel so absolutely accomplished, so congrats to you! as for your pink scrabble theme, i like the photo but not so much the rest of the structure? perhaps if you redid that when you found the time, making sort of a second version for it. happy early vacation, and the best of luck to your site!
