I had a fantastic holiday and I’m back feeling refreshed and energetic
Thanks to everyone who wished me a good time; I’ll return your comments when I get a chance.
I took about 400, maybe 500 photos that will be added to the stock photo gallery for you guys to download for free and do what you please with – wallpapers, layouts, icons, whatever. Just please don’t claim them as your own or use them for commercial purposes other than charity. Plus, patience would be great as I have to transfer them all from my memory cards to my laptop, and then to my home computer (which is the only one with Internet access), sort through them and then upload/categorise/label them, so it might take a while.
Highlights of the holiday – me thinking the captain said that we might see goblins, instead of dolphins. Also after we got back, my dad pronouncing ‘Prague’ ‘Prag-wah’ and my sister thinking it’s in Spain and my mum Poland. Sometimes I worry about my family.
One of the most important aspects of the holiday was my spiritual epiphany. I had a body composition analysis done at the spa (Emma, the woman there, was really nice despite the fact that she couldn’t spell for shit, and my 45 min consultation turned into an hour and a half with no extra charge). My body is pretty messed up after years of not eating properly and yo yoing in terms of weight. Plus, I was pretty dehydrated (although that may be because it was 44 degrees C in Rome). Anyway, she suggested I do a detox, and she was pretty convincing about it. Since coming home I’ve bought some books on the subject and even though I really love potatoes and dairy, I’m willing to give it a shot. It’s time I started looking myself properly. Since today I bought Brain Training for the Wii, that kind of inspired me further to do an extended brain and body programme for the rest of the summer to rejuvenate me properly and get ready for my final year at uni.
Today was my first day of eating in accordance with the diet - I needed to shop for a few things and fully prepare myself. Today I’ve squeezed fresh juice in various combinations using raspberries, a pear, kiwi, green apple and mango, I’ve eaten a lot of varied salad stuff, mixed nuts and berries, fish and hummus with carrots. On a detox diet, most people feel like shit for the first few days because of caffeine withdrawal, then they start to feel great. Well, since my diet contained very little caffeine beforehand and the food on the ship was all fresh and good (I was eating a lot of desserts like cake and stuff though), I’ve skipped to the feeling great part. I feel happy, relaxed – and not in the slightest bit hungry. Nor do I feel tempted to eat, or crave anything ‘bad’. I’m completely hydrated and feel very satisfied. It may only be day one, but it’s definitely doing a lot for me so far! Â

*waves* Hi, I'm
Glad you had a great time!
I thought it was great aswell!
Me and my family flew to majorca the same day you did, and we went on a cruise for a week around the med. Who did you go with? We were with ‘island cruises’.
Was a well good holiday! Till we had to get back though! Was very stressful. First we were on different coaches, to the airport so we were waiting for each other there. Then the flight we got on was up in the air for 20 minutes, then the air hostesses were hurrying up and down the aisle, telling people to put seats up, tables up, and shove everything under the seat in front for an emergency landing, as there was smoke in the cockpitt. They had lumonous yellow jackets on, as they didnt know what landing to expect. One of them asked my dad to move up a few rows to the one of the emergency exits with her, as there is a few second delay for the slide to inflate as the door is opened, and he needed him there to stop people rushing out instead of her. Luckily we made it back fine. But from then we had to wait 10 hours for another flight and with that we were told to go to gate 13, aha, not very comforting after being stressed from the last flight. Then we got on that aeroplane and we were stuck on their for another 2 hours as five people switched airlines to fly back on another plane after being terrified from the last one. So the rest of us had to wait while we got their suitcases off for security reasons, and they ended up taking either a 100 or 200 suitcases off to find theirs. We then fly home, just before landing the plane shot back up again, everyone was wondering why, as the captin didnt say what the reason was. But then we landed safetly. and got to manchester airport fine. But we had a lift organise, and cos of the delay we had a differnt person taking us back home. and cos he waited there for hours he was just wanting to get home, and he was speeding back home which is about 3 hours away but cos of the speed he was at, it ended up being 2 hours something. He was just going down the motorway on average of 90 miles per hour and then 60mph in 40mph zones. We were all thinking right we made the plane are we gonna end in a car crash now? ooofk it was very distressing coming home!! My mams still not fine now. We all need another holiday ahah. but one that doesnt include a plane flight. Its really annoying aswell, as there was loads of flights to manchester that day which we could have chose.
So yeh was very tired as our original flight was in the morning and we were up at 7am. Then we didnt get back home till half two the next morning.
But yeh otherwise! Loved the cruise! =]

Oh dear, but hey, at least they’re amusing right? lol Ah, we all have our moments. I’m glad to hear you’re back from your trip and feeling refreshed, that is how a vacation should leave you feeling after all.
I sincerely hopes no one has the gall to hound you about getting those photos up asap. I mean really, you’re doing them a service free of charge, what more could they want?
