This weekend

Thank you Chau for letting me know the comments weren’t working! I wondered why there were so few. It’s all fixed now (if a little ugly for the moment on the Pink Scrabble theme).

So…this weekend was pretty hectic. It feels like it lasted about a month rather than just a couple of days, but in a good way. Sheffield Sarah came to visit on Saturday, and we went shopping in town. I bought two dresses and a really nice top (£90 overall…eep). We met up with Tabi and Richard in Cookieshake. I had a dime bar milkshake – yum. Then Hwan-Min joined us, and we left Richard and Tabi to go eat at Nando’s. After that, Hwan-Min dropped us off at the house, where Sarah met Alana, and we spent some time just chatting, and then eventually getting ready for the house party at Hwan-Min’s house.

When we got there, I was looking round for people I knew, but they were few and far between. Several people who I know didn’t turn up, despite saying on facebook that they were going to, but there were a LOT of people there. I talked to Paul (one of Hwan-Min’s housemates/a guy I knew in halls last year), and I saw some other people from halls, but didn’t really talk to them. Despite the slow start, it turned out pretty well and Sarah and I got chatting to quite a few random people. It was a lot of fun. After most people started leaving, Hwan-Min, Sarah and I ordered pizza (lol), and then me and Sarah went back to mine about 4 am.

Sunday I got up at 8-9 am (lack of sleep – ouch) to see Alana who was off to break up with her boyfriend (ouch) – I thought she needed a bit of moral support before leaving. Hwan-Min came over about 11 to pick up the valuables he’d left at my house while his party was going on, and Sarah, me and him ended up going to KFC (yes, another takeaway and more chicken! lol). When we got back Sarah got her stuff together and left later in the afternoon. We didn’t get to chat between ourselves that much but it was still lots of fun. Then Alana got back and she was devastated (and still is) bless her. Distraction was the order of the evening and she couldn’t face a chick flick, so I suggested The Day After Tomorrow which was on channel four (our Freeview wasn’t working too well last night so we didn’t have much choice). This is not the kind of film for highly paranoid Jenni. I watched bits and pieces of it whilst surfing the net at the same time, and to be honest, what I saw of it I was disappointed with. It’s a great idea for a film, but the attention to detail wasn’t great and it could have been a lot better (although admittedly my review is rather biased!).

Today I got up at 8:30, showered, and went to my final lecture on Romanticism. I got back pretty fast because I didn’t really want to leave Alana on her own – but she’s out anyway doing some errands. Since then I’ve been doing various internet things, watching TV and typing up lecture notes. I should really get back to work as I have quite a few things to do for uni tomorrow…!

Hehe, you’re welcome! Thanks for the plug!

Sorry to hear that your weekend was hectic, though!

Aww, I’m sorry to hear about Alana! Yeah, chick flicks makes it worse when you have a broken heart… *sigh*… Hehe about The Day After Tomorrow. I did a “scientific review” on that movie fo my Geology class last semester… Hehe.

Anyways, I hope Alana’s ok! It sucks having a broken heart, though… *sigh*…

Yeah, I definately tried to comment before but it didn’t work at all! Thanks for your comment! And glad you went and bought something fun! Even if it’s something small, it always takes some stress off for me.

Wow seems like you’ve been having a nice time lately! :)
I read your previous blog too because I’d missed that. And yes, the comments weren’t working for me either otherwise I would of left one earlier. I was slightly disappointed it didn’t work because I’d typed a pretty long one (which I can’t remember now). :(
About those exam results: don’t worry too much! I’m quite the opposite of you though: the worse I do, the less motivated I am to work. So then I work a little less harder and somehow I’ll get higher grades and I’ll start to work harder again! Funny how that works, isn’t it? Anyway, good luck getting all of your work done!
