Work work work

Question: Who gives university students group work to do over the Easter holidays?

Dr. Moron, that’s who! *cough* I would say his real name but I might get in trouble. It’s only one letter different though, hence the nickname I’ve given him :)
So we have 3 linked questions. There’s a group of four of us. We live all over the country. And we have a month off for Easter.
Looks like we’ll be doing the questions over e-mail. God bless the Internet.

In other news, I have shit loads of work in general. I have a seminar presentation today, as well as a seminar with questions (I’ve kind of answered them…), and a seminar this afternoon on ‘Frankenstein’ which I don’t intend to do any work for. Then Booze Cruise tonight (boat down the canal with as much alcohol as you can drink), then tomorrow a run through of the group presentation on Shakespeare’s sonnets (and I’m still writing my part of the presentation). Then I’m going to Leicester(shire?) with Nika Friday-Saturday.

Then after all that is out of the way, I have an essay to write by the 24th March. After that, I have exam revision to do (I get my exam timetable on Friday, and I’m supposed to be choosing modules for next year at the moment), a MadEvil essay to write over Easter and a 3,000 word language investigation.

*breathe*

WHY do I have no work all year and then about 50% of the entire work comes all over these couple of months?!

I watched ‘Super Size Me’ last night. It was scary to see all the stuff they have in America: the massive play places for kids, the Ronald McDonald cartoon etc. etc… *shivers* And 4 McDonalds per sq mile in Manhattan – that’s just scary.

Did anyone else who’s seen that movie notice that the 10 ‘fattest cities’ in America are all on the East Coast?? Don’t know if that’s still true, I just found it interesting like the geeky ex-geographer that I am. Theories/explanations are welcome :)

So, I’ll check in again when I get a bit more free time

I’ve recently moved from England to America, and I’d watched Super Size Me a few months before I did :X Do you really need an explanation? What they said (on the film) is pretty much true. But I haven’t given my brain a lot of thought for McDonalds, cos I don’t like it there lol. Hope you can manage to do all of your work on time; I know how it feels, I get that sometimes too :(

Well, good luck with all your university work.
I think it’s always like that… until April/May I practically have nothing to do at school and then all of sudden all teachers want us to do coursework, tests, presentations, etc., and all in the last weeks of the school year. It sucks, but I don’t think it’ll change!
I hate McDonald’s, I think the food’s just disgusting, lol. I don’t really have an explanation for you though, sorry!

Oh god, that’s awful. what kind of twisted professer do you have? It’s break!

  11. Dani says:

That’s annotying :S I love teachers whom have names that are so easy to twist. I’d say (as far as fattiest cities) that since New York and Boston are fairly large metropolitan areas, maybe that’s why? And people would rather take the train/bus/subway rather than walk or bike, etc.
