So much has happened…

Wow, I’m getting behind with blogging again, but it’s because I have barely two minutes to myself most of the time. Even when I try to put aside a couple of free hours there are always unexpected things to do or someone will knock at my door. I love it to bits and I’ll really miss it next year, but at the moment I feel like I’m in water and kicking constantly to stay afloat.
I’m beginning to get tired of kicking.

But anyway, a run through of this week since I can’t remember much of last week lol. Except to say that I stayed up for about 40 hours with literally no sleep, because of a combination of things…Saturday was the rag raid to Bath, didn’t collect much money but had lots of fun Sunday I mainly slept all day because I was so tired…

Monday night there was a meeting about accommodation for next year in the hall next to us, which turned out to be a waste of time. But I got to see another hall and meet some of Nika’s friends, one of which was doing my course, so it wasn’t all bad Then Tom and I went back to Nika’s room with her and began looking at houses on the Internet (more about that in a moment…)

Tuesday I went to Isis with three guys…all I will say about that is that I agree with the dancer who described it as an ‘eye-opener’ for me. And I got in free, oh yes

Wednesday my dad and Lara came over and we went house hunting with Nika. Although we hadn’t made any viewing appointments, we ended up seeing 6 different houses with 2 different estate agents. And we found the perfect house. It’s a 3 bedroom detached house, 3 floors, all the rooms are massive and it’s just…perfect. You can practically see the university from the window, and it’s right next to a pub and a few shops, so it’s ideal. Inside it’s all very clean and the walls are all neutral colours. I don’t like the carpets, we’re going to change an extra room upstairs into a bathroom (most likely), change the main bathroom and hopefully get a new kitchen. My dad put an offer in today of just over �200,000,, that was accepted so if everything goes to plan, I’ll be moving in with Nika and Tom next year! Fantastic. I can’t wait to buy furniture and decide how to decorate and stuff. It’s going to be amazing :love:

I can’t believe I’m going to have my own house, I feel so old

So yeah, after the house hunting we went to an all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet. Then my dad and Lara left and I went to one of the on-campus theatres with Sarah to see ‘Great Expectations’, which was lots of fun.

Then today I got up about 12ish (Nathan’s fault), and went shopping in Beeston to buy my friend a birthday present, which was when I went into the estate agent’s to make an appointment for a second viewing with Hayley, who showed us round several houses yesterday. At which point she told me that my dad’s offer on the house had just been accepted, so I was there when she phoned him to tell him lol.

Tonight there is another hall formal, which is something vaguely resembling Christmas dinner I think, so that should be fantastic because the formal food is amazing I don’t know if I’ll go to the after party though because I’m just too tired, and it’s to a bar in town called ‘The Quilted Llama’, which is rather expensive. I want to save some money for Christmas presents

So with lectures and essay research as well, you can imagine I’ve been pretty busy this week. The only thing I’ve managed to do is get this new skin up, which took me hours and hours because the stupid University Internet Network hates me uploading things and FTP keeps timing out and deleting files and generally just pissing me off. So please appreciate this (very) simple layout as actually taking hours of work to get on the Internet. It’s slightly Christmassy, but is a reminder of around this time last year, when I went to New York. Lol too many to choose! One amusing thing from a while ago was Teresa all dressed up to go out and not realising she was still wearing slippers.
