Emergency Sheep Shopping

Sunday was busy, but fun. My parents and Lara decided not to come and visit, so I went to Beeston (local town) with Richard instead, the plan being to get him some stuff for a Halloween costume. He ended up not coming out with us for Halloween, but whatever lol.

So Tom came Sunday evening. He brought me some lovely presents, such as yacht varnish and gingerbread men people. He was a bit intimidated at first because I got Jenni, Jen, Nika, Nina, and Livie all in my room and we were kind loud and scary I think :P Nika, Tom and I went to a bar quiz in a nearby ‘hall’, called Broadgate Park, with a couple of guys who live there. Tom was really drunk before we even got there, and he spent most of the time singing Eurovision songs. He got funny looks and glares from a lot of the Broadgate Park people, which I found amusing because they mainly looked ridiculous (think Jesus on crack) 24/7, whereas Tom was just making a fool of himself for a couple of hours :P After shouting out a lot of wrong answers and generally pissing everyone off, we annoyed them more by the fact that we won 2 shot glasses each for having the best team name (One Wheel Short Of A Unicycle). We also invented a drink that we called Tom’s Cocktail (Southern Comfort + Archers + lemonade + Coke), and we’re now trying to make it well known and spread the love lol. Anyway.
After that, we came back to Cav and ordered Chinese, which we ate with Nika and Alex in Alex’s room.

Yesterday, I had a lecture, and Tom and Nika creatively made a sheep out of a bottle and cotton wool…yeah…Lol. They made it for my drama performance, and it was amazing, it had pipe cleaner arms and everything. It’s looking a bit worse for wear at the moment, but when I stick it back together I’ll take a pic.
There’s a serious sheep prejudice I swear, we could not find a sheep to buy anywhere in Nottingham (although to be fair we did leave it till the last minute and it was a Sunday evening).

Then last night, we dressed up in Halloween costumes and went to a cool gothic bar, and then another bar that does great cocktails. After that we went to Oceana, the first club I went to in Nottingham, over a month ago now. We were joined there by Sarah, Teresa, Kathryn, Jenni, and a few other people. It was very fun, although they nearly didn’t let Tom in because he’s a student at Manchester Uni and it was strictly Nottingham Uni students only…but he begged the bouncers, and the green and orange pipe cleaners he was wearing in his hair must have helped ;)

This morning Tom and I dragged ourselves out of bed for the cleaner to clean, and sat in our pyjamas in the common room and read newspapers lol. Nika and I took Tom to the train station, at which point I went into total panic mode as I realised I had a Drama deadline and MadEvil exercises to do by 1pm. So I went back to my room and just about managed to get my Drama done. I conveniently ‘lost’ my MadEvil exercises booklet in the library (or so my story went…) so I got out of answering questions. I think my booklet might make a magical appearance in the next few days or so :)
