Time’s going so quickly

I have absolutely no idea where time’s going. I could’ve sworn my last blog wasn’t nearly a week ago!

I have renamed Medieval Studies MadEvil Studies, because that’s exactly what it is. I’m going to make it illegal when I rule the world

I’m trying to remember what I’ve done this week but it’s hard lol. I remember watching the guys playing poker one night and chatting with Jenni for about 3 hours lol. I still have no idea how to play poker though, which shows how much attention I was paying :S On Friday we (Jenni, Teresa and I) went to The Ark, which is the main campus bar, for a while, and on Saturday about 8-9 of us went to a club called Media, which was really fun. On Sunday Katie, Dawn, Jenni, Sarah and I went to The Ark’s pub quiz, and we didn’t win but it was fun, which is the main thing. Afterwards, we were talking about childhood games, and we ended up playing hide and seek in the hall. It was hilarious, especially as Katie hadn’t realised we’d started playing and walked straight in front of Sarah (who was ‘on’)…’Have we started?!?!?!’ lol.

Last night Rena, Richard, Nika and I (lol I’m beginning to realise just how many new friends I have now) went to the Chemistry Society’s pub quiz (Nika does chemistry). That is the last time I go to a ChemSoc outing. Their idea of fun is…not mine, basically. Just as an example, one of the ‘entertainment round’ questions was something about scientists, waterfalls and honeymoons. Yeah…I could go into further details about the geekiness of the night, but I won’t. There was a prize for the worst team though (us!)…we got cool glowsticks So I’m happy. I felt really young too because most people were older than us..some of the postgrads were 6-7 years older than us..and it wasn’t really ‘general knowledge’ as they advertised it as. So I’m happy lol.
One incredibly funny thing that happened…you know when the quiz person is giving out the answers and teams are like ‘Yesss! We got that one’ etc.? Well, there was a question about vitamins or some such crap and Nika guessed the answer. Then when the quiz person came to say the answer, there was dead silence in the room and Nika was like, ‘Yessss!!!’ because she guessed right (!!) and all the chemistry geeks turned around to glare at us, it was absolutely hilarious.

So yesterday I felt pretty sick, I think lunch (vegetable burrito) was too spicy for my stomach to take. But I had a drama performance (‘Medea’) to do, so after was over (it went okay, but I’m not great at acting, I was feeling too ill to be nervous though) I went straight back to my room. Today I had a MadEvil Studies presentation to do…blergh, I messed it up a bit, but I don’t really care to be honest

Today, Nika’s friend came to visit her, and I took her to the lake and round the Millennium Garden whilst Nika had a tutorial. Twas fun. Tonight we’re getting pizza, and then Nikka and a few others are going to Rock City. Last time I went was a pretty bad experience and I’m not keen to repeat it, so I’m staying in. I’ll probably see who else is staying in tonight, or maybe do some work. I have so much to do considering I only have either 6 or 9 hours on my timetable each week. It’s just hit me that I have coursework due in next month and I haven’t written a single essay or even started a plan :S I have tomorrow off though, (and I only had a 1 hour seminar today), so I’ve had time to relax and now it’s time to catch up.
