Just spent nearly two hours returning comments…it’s my own fault for not keeping up :hmm: I wasn’t very systematic with it though so I may have missed a few people out, I’m really sorry if I missed you. I’ll make it up to you this time.
So last night I went out for a sort-of birthday drink with James and Em. It was really fun, although there was an annoying random singing guy who was rather irritating, although he did a reasonably good Elton John impression with ‘Can you feel the love tonight?’ (you know, ‘The Lion King’ song), which is a song I really like. Tom also phoned and text me from France (he’s doing work experience there), and he said he’s having a great time which is good. I did actually think that there might be a bad atmosphere with London winning the Olympic bid over Paris and everything, but it seems to be okay.
I’m quite tired because I didn’t really go to bed last night lol as I was talking to Andy  Until about 7am. Last time I stayed up that late was in Scotland last week. I’m getting into bad habits
My mum’s been ‘learning’ how to walk Pom since I (the official dog walker) and my sister are going to America with my dad tomorrow, while she stays home and looks after the pets
In a way, she’s actually lucky. The two of them are going to drive me mad. But what are families for?
Pom did a double-take when my mum took him out on her own. He wasn’t very sure about it at first, but he’ll get used to it.
Well, this blog has been fascinating so far
I’ve just realised how many things I’ve got to do before tomorrow morning (make my bed, tidy and hoover my room, tidy and hoover my study, PACK (!), read and reply to 200 emails, make a hiatus sign for the front page, charge my ipod, order books for uni etc. etc.) All I’ve done so far is return comments, heh.
Re the site – I have a huge new project that I’m working on as I’m really unhappy with this site at the moment. It’s just too messy and disorganised, and a lot of the pages seem outdated/babysh now. I want a fresh start. I’ve started work, but it’s going to take probably the whole summer, maybe longer. It will be worth it though
As far as the London bombings are concerned – I really can’t say anything that hasn’t already been said
The fact that it was so basic and on a relatively small scale makes me think that it could be an ‘inside job’ so to speak. It reminded me of the IRA bombings around Manchester. Or it could easily be something G8-related. But in general I think everyone down there coped really well with it all, and it just shows that security must be pretty good for it to affect a small number of people. What irritates me now is all the ‘the death toll is this’, ‘the amount of injured is that’ etc. People shouldn’t just be statistics, it’s the individuals that count  The stories about heroic rescues and families’ reactions are more how it should be. It’s easy to forget the people themselves when they’re just presented as a meaningless number.
By the way – thanks for your concern  Luckily I live several hours’ drive from London
I’ll be back about 20th July, don’t miss me too much

*waves* Hi, I'm
Lol you haven’t packed yet? I’ll all organised for my holiday and that’s a week off yet! Have a great time in America though! =]
true about the london bombings……The aldgate blast was 10 mins away from me! Have fun in America!
About the london bombings— i find it amazing how so little amount of people were killed… But you are right you should think of the individual and not the statisitics. But I must say the amount in London was much better than 9/11 in Washington.
I agree with what you said about real families and not just a number… makes me think of my father, since he went to the pentagon for meetings weekly around the time of 9-11, so he knew lots of people in the pentagon. It’s amazing, though, how well everyone seems to have coped. Of course all I know is what I see on CNN Britain lol
have a great time in america!
Man you are such a busy woman! How do you ever keep up with life like that? Heh heh heh…lochness monsters are fun X). Ooooh wow rework the site? I wanna see that…O.O I don’t wanna see how long it takes for you to busy up your schedule even more though..XD Heh heh well have fun in America!
I’m glad you had fun at your sort-of-birthday drink lol. I’ve never stayed up ’til 7 AM. I think 3 AM was my latest. Good luck with your new project. I can’t wait to see it. And have a great time in America! I’m sure you will; it’s awesome here (hehe
).
Sounds like you had fun. Lol I didnt fall asleep last night either, thats wierd. I can’t wait to see what you do with your site.
Oh wow, that’s a lot of returning comments time. I know what you mean about bad habits. I’ve been staying up until 7 like everyday this week. Oh wow, the new site face lift sounds great
Lo! I’m the first to comment! hehe
Thanks for visitng my site! I feel really honored because you, a great webmistress has visited my site! (screams!!) hehe =) Wow, you have 200 e-mails to reply to? Evryone just  ur site! That’s the proof! Yah, agreed! We should not only look at statistics but its the individual that counts! =) You sound really busy (im also loaded too..wahh) so better go! TC!! Can’t wait for your next post! =)
;)
Wow, I don’t know how i got to this website, I just ran into it. Your site is going well, keep up the good work.
Have an awesome time in America
What state(s) are you visiting? Hope the site project works out well for you
Your site is massive, I bet it’s hard to keep it exactly the way you want it. I agree with what you said about not turning real people with real families into a number…it makes people detatch any emotion to the fact that they are actually dead/injured. Take care and have a safe trip!
Have a good time in America. That’s great that you had a ‘sort of’ birthday drink w/ your friends.
You sound so busy, I don’t think I could keep up being that busy
Have an awesome time in america. What state are you visiting?
Have fun in America!
I can’t wait to see the new project; it sounds like it’ll take a while but it’ll be worth it I’m sure!
I agree with you about the stat counting; we should remember the people.
Hehe, I love that elton john song, but I hate it when you go out to eat at a place with an annoying singer…you wish you could tell them shut up..very politely of course
I agree with you about the London bombings, I think it should be looked at from a more personal point of view. I can’t imagine being in the situation of those families, I really feel for them
Thanks for the comment. I don’t have msn, but thank you so much for your concern  Take care xox
Woah, two hours on returning comments?! thanks for the comment on my site by the way
Firstly, thank you for the comment in my guestbook:)
I can’t say how jealous I am. You are going to America and I am not. *glares:P*
I hope you have a good time, and that you managed to pack everything you need;)
Have fun in America. Im already there so now trips for me
It dont take me that long to return comments… Only about 10 minutes…
Have fun in America, i’ll look forward to hearing all about it when you return. You’re a bit late with packing aren’t you? Last year I started packing a week before and had everything planned out that I was going to take. Not going on holiday this year, staying at home with one of my sisters.
hey jenni, i hope that u get all your jobs done and that you have a good time in america!
Hey!
Have a great time in Minnesota
Yeah I hate the way they talk about the bombings in London, it really irritates me :S
Thanks for your comment Jenni
7am without sleeping? Wow, my record would be 4 or 5 am, then I’d fall asleep haha. Yay for redoing your site, even though I like it how it is now. I’d love to redo mine too, but I don’t have a clue what I should add, delete and just change etc. So yeah. And, the London bombings are so horrible, I don’t understand how people can do those sorts of things. It’s just sick. Ah yes you live in England, right. Well, I’m happy you don’t live in london! Haha 20th july is my birthday
Hey, have an awsome time in America. 7AM! The longest I’ve stayed up is 5AM.
Thanks for the comment  Have fun on holiday
The bombings were awful, as I live in London it’s weird seeing my city effected, but yes, we all coped well and Im proud
Two friggin hours? Gosh. I don’t get that many… it takes me.. uhh.. 5 minutes to return mine. lol
Have a fun and safe trip!
Family trips can be aggrivating at times, but like you said, what are families for?
I know the feeling about the site, I have it ever so often. In fact, I just went through it. lol What can I say, I get bored with thingseasily!
lol. Going to minnisota? Have fun jenni! That’s awesome. Oh Oh Oh ! what’s the project huh!>>
Aww bet your going to enjoy your trip, bit harsh your mum not going though isnt it?
Woah 200emails to reply to! That’ll be “fun”.
I’m having a re-vemp with my site too…but mine only have 50msx. pages so it’ll take like a night haha!
Enjoy your holiday Jenni, I’m so jealous of you. It’s a shame your mom’s not going too though. My mom would never stay behind on a holiday, she doesn’t like being split from my dad. I’ve had to miss my last few holidays to stay home and look after the pets. Hopefully I won’t have to miss this one too.
Anyway, have fun xxx
Hey Jenni, have fun in Minnesota. It’s true what you said about the bombings/statistics, it’s the individuals that count. 200 e-mails to reply?? o.O Everyone just loves you and your site, don’t they
? It must be really hard for you to reply to all those comments and e-mails, but you always manage to do a great job, so congrats on that
. Aite, take care . Can’t wait for your next update.
Hehe, yeah, I’m returning comments right now also, about 50 of them, since I was out of the country. Anyways, glad you had fun with James and Em! Wait, London won the Olympic bid over Paris? Wow, I’ve missed quite a lot of news while I was gone… Wow, you’re coming to America? Are you going to be in California? Anyways, hope you’ll have fun! I just came back to America last night. Hehe.
Hi! Hope you have a fab time in America
Yeah being known as a number would make me go crazy. I was really shocked to hear about the bombing on tv, cos well it’s LONDON. Anyway.. I’ll comment again soon! Claire xoxox
have a good trip
Hey!! I’ve never really left a comment on your blog, but I’ve been on your site loads of times. I think it’s great!! Have fun in Minnesota and take care!!:)
Take care in Minnesota!
Have a great trip!
Haha, two hours of returning comments? That’s something I’m going to be doing if my comments get any longer. Even though I hardly get any comments.
It’s easy to give you long comments though because you always write about something so interesting or inspiring that I launch into an essay on the topic. Which, I would imagine, is a good thing, even though I gained a measly B in my English exam.
Ooh I love beer and wine and stuff, I’m just too young to go out and drink it *pouts* Meh, I suppose I’m growing up too fast. Well, about the annoying singing guy, at least you got some free entertainment
I’d probably be so drunk that by that time, I’d be choking myself laughing *grin*
I want to go to France. It seems cool there. Doesn’t it cost alot to text and phone from there though? Holy crap. Someone said to me it was like £5 a minute and £2 a text.
Ah well, its just a bid. It’s not like they arent invited are something haha.
Ooh Andy eh? *nudge* And why might have the Jenni put a  next to the Andy’s name
Ohemgee. That long on the phone. I’d probably hear my friend snoring by the time I’d finished the conversation. Staying up is cool
You get to drink coffee and stuff. I just eat lots of chocolate and go silently hyper, putting all my engery into what they call ‘web design’ *wink*
Lmfao! Sorry but the Pom business made me laugh! ‘I, the official dog walker’ rofl! I remember your post about how people piss you off when you’re walking Pom. Too bad I had a throat infection at the time. But thanks for that post, because I laughed so much that I choked all the flem out of my throat
I would have thought it simple to walk a dog. I love walking / running them lol. I usually let them drag me along. I’m lazy so if it was up to me, I’d get my dog to pull me on a contraption with wheels.
Ahh, I hate it when I have so much to do.
You know what? I can’t believe I’ve actually been visiting your site for a whole year. It seems like just yesterday when I was commenting on your post about something or other you did in the holidays
Ooh, a new project! Yay! I love everything you do Jen, and I think it would be awesome if you did something new. I do agree some of the content is getting old, but I still love the site because I find your blog highly amusing
When I signed onto AIM the other day, I got about 10 people IMing me asking me if I was ok. I appreciate the concern, but England does not consist of one city. And I live nowhere near London lol. Maybe closer than Jenni, but it would take one hell of a bomb to get me.
I got really annoyed when an american called it the ‘London Incident’ as if someone dropped an egg on the queen’s head or something (although that would be rather amusing compared to the recent events), but when the twin towers get hit you never hear the end of it, even 5 years after.
I agree about the statistics thing. It’s stupid how people can just give innocent victims numbers. I would prefer to be called by my name. Lets all go call Tony Blair ’666′ eh? I think it was Al-Qaeda, but have you noticed how they do these things on special dates? Like 9/11 is 911, the American version of 999 and 7/7/2005 is 7 7 2+5 = 777 which is the number of the crusaders or something like that. Their emblem was the modern english flag and one of the places bombed was called ‘Kings Cross’, and then shape of all the bombings joined up is a cross.
Something is wrong here.
whoa! nice vector.
