Love
You know when you love someone so much that wish they were here with you even if it were just so that you could hear their breathing and fall asleep next to them in perfect contentment?
That is how I feel right now
Trip and Survey
Sorry, sorry sorry. I’ve been putting it off because I felt guilty about blogging, and then felt more guilty so put it off even more, etc. etc…
Sooo as promised, FINALLY a blog about my trip…
11th July
I packed the night before as usual, mainly because I don’t see the point of packing everything just to need it again during the week, or needing whatever’s at the bottom. So I ignored the usual ranting from my family about packing and did it last minute. We left pretty early in the morning. The flight was about 7-8 hours to Chicago, then almost another hour to Minneapolis.
My uncle met us at the airport and lost his daughter and his car within the first five mins which was not the best thing to happen after so many hours of travelling; I was torn between laughing and screaming.
12th July
Went shopping at the Rosedale Center, lthough unfortuately my cousin couldn’t make it since she had to work. I bought some really cute ’soap flowers’ – they look like those fake 3d flowers, but they dissolve like soap. I love things like that lol.
13th July
Went to Lake Josephine; Lara and my cousin went swimming, but I didn’t feel like it so just sunbathed and read magazines. We had a barbecue there which was really nice.
14th July
Went to the Mall of America, which was amazing…I could spend at least a week in that place.
I found a shop I now really like, The Limited, which is cool for more formal-style clothes but expensive.
15th July
Spent the day on a tour of Minneapolis with my uncle. We drove round and he pointed stuff out to us. Plus we went around the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden and had lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe. Went to a club called Escape (I think this is the website), which was kinda crap. We’d been there for about 5 minutes and they started this beauty contest. In a club. After seeing three rounds of girls parading, we decided we’d had enough and left.
We went on to The Bird, which definitely made up for it although there were some very strange people walking around.
16th July
Went over to my other uncle’s house to swim in his pool, and then we went back to the Mall of America to replace a new top I’d bought, worn clubbing, and wrecked lol.
17th July
?? Can’t remember, except that it probably included shopping lol.
18th July
Went shopping and bought far too many books lol. Then we went to buy something for my cousin’s friend’s birthday, and went on to his party. I remember in New York when we went to a comedy club and the comedian was cracking jokes about black guys being scary. I have to say, I never thought they were up until now. When you’re in an enclosed space with 30-40 6 footers, you get scared lol.
19th July
I think we visited Minnehaha Falls in the morning…can’t remember heh.
Went to ValleyFair, which was great even though I hate rollercoasters lol. I did a couple of water rides, and then we only had time to play a few games before we had to go back and have dinner. So I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would
20th July
Let at about 8am to get to the airport, and because we had to wait at Chicago, didn’t get back until the 21st (!!)

Explain it
Can somebody please explain to me why somebody thought it was a good idea to dress Johnny Depp up like Michael Jackson for the remake of ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’?

Who exactly were they trying to reach with that? If you haven’t seen it yet, don’t. It’s absolute crap, with the only positive that they followed the original story slightly better in parts.
I think I’ve been away too long, it took me about five minutes just now to remember which button it was that connects my FTP to the Internet :S
I travelled back home today. We left yesterday morning their time, and got back this morning our time (because of a 6 hour wait at Chicago airport), and I’m pretty tired, so I will do a huge blog tomorrow or the day after. Feel free to comment on this entry though
Okay, I’m off to return comments
