It’s great to be back
I’m absolutely wiped out. The bad thing about all these low-sugar/sugar free drinks around now is that I don’t get an energy hit at all except by sleeping, since I don’t drink tea or coffee and I’m not into those crap energy drinks, and I don’t normally buy sweets/candy. I’m so boring
It’s so weird the way doing nothing makes you feel so tired. I wasn’t this tired studying for all my exams and doing work over the past few months. All I’ve done today is had a driving lesson and taken Pom to the park, and I’m ready for bed! It’s 9pm and I already feel asleep for an hour this afternoon! I think it’s partly the heat and the de-stressedness. I’m finally letting my body relax and actually having some fun.
I started doing webdesign yesterday and it’s going to take me a while to get back into it, I even need to get back into my blog style. I’m working on behind the scenes stuff right now so you probably won’t notice any major updates for a while.
My advertising script it messed up and while I’m trying to fix it, please be patient!
Quite a few current advertisers have had a hell of a lot more time than they should have, but I’m trying not to panic about it yet! Email and u2us I will catch up on asap.
So, despite the fact that I have 3 months off, I have quite a lot planned. So far:
29th Mock driving test and driving lesson
30th Going shopping with Hannah/Tom’s and James’s joint 18th party
1st July Going to Scotland with Hannah for Make Poverty History march
4th Coming back from Scotland
5th Driving lesson and practice
6th Driving lesson and practice
7th Driving practice
8th Driving lesson and test (I know I’m going to fail though)
10th Going to America (Minnesota)
20th Coming back from America
After that I have nothing definitely planned apart from Results Day (18th August) and moving into my student place in Nottingham (around 25th September). So I’m going to find it hard fitting in working on the sites and catching up straightaway, but hopefully by the end of the sumemr I’ll have it all under control.
Okay, I’m off to return the comments from the last entry and then go to bed (!)

Questions relating to why the world is screwed up:
1. WHY do Australians get the queen’s birthday off and we don’t?! It’s our queen and it’s not even her real birthday!! Oh, AND New Zealanders hehe. Do Canadians?!
2. WHAT were the chances of Michael Jackson getting off for all ten charges?
Edit: CLASSIC quote on the news just now -
American woman: ‘See, this is America, where the innocent are found innocent!’
I nearly pissed myself laughing at that stroke of genius.
WOW. Just met Sophie Kinsella at her book discussing/signing thing near me and it was amazing. She talked about her new book and read a section out and wow…I don’t know if I can wait until after my exams to start it
But I must, because once I start reading her books I literally can’t put them down until the very last page, and even then I turn over the flyleaf just to check haha.
So anyway, we walked in, and most of the people there were 40ish +. Seriously. I couldn’t believe it. I wanted to scream at them, ‘Why are you here?!?!? Shouldn’t you be reading Bridget Jones?! But that’s mean, and I’m trying not to be a mean person anymore. Besides, if anything, I guess I’m fairly under the reading age, since the characters are in their late 20s. And also, it shows the universality of her writing. And lets face it, it is amazing.
So anyway, after the initial shock of being pretty much the youngest people there (um, WHERE were all the people I know who love her books and are under 40?), this girl shoved a glass of wine at me. I was like ‘uhh..thanks’. I really don’t like wine, and spent most of the rest of the time trying to lose it somewhere (surprisingly difficult as there were quite a lot of people and no available space). My sister was like, ‘Why didn’t you just say no?’, but I was all over the place, it was mad. After, when she did the signings, the wine plus the suspense were really getting to me and I was literally shaking. She looked at me like, wtf? and to be honest I could not believe how embarrassed I was and how nervous for no reason at all. (My sister didn’t help by telling her I didn’t like shopping. I was, wtf? Just because I don’t buy cheap scally-label clothes doesn’t mean I don’t like shopping!!!!) I have seriously never felt that nervous in my whole life, not at my Cambridge interviews, not performing in plays, not doing speeches etc. It was weird. Personally, I blame it on the wine and exam stress, but yeah. I’m making far too many crap excuses these days.
So anyway, I got some paper for her to sign for Niamh, and explained about my site and stuff…she was pretty impressed which I found so ironic. I mean, my site is nothing and her books are like…wow. Then I showed myself up some more by mumbling some crap and yeah.
So, she said that all her books are going to be made into films, ‘Shopaholic’ by Disney (blergh), ‘The Undomestic Goddess’ by Universal, and ‘Can You Keep A Secret?’ she’s actually worked on herself with Kate Hudson, who’s going to be starring as Emma (!!) They have no idea who Jack will be yet though, she doesn’t want Hugh Grant, and someone suggested someone else (I’ve forgotten who already lol), so she might look into that. I’m not entirely convinced the Disney one(s) will be great, especially if they wreck it in the same way as ‘The Princess Diaries’, but the others sound good.
Sophie’s nearly 9 months pregnant now, so she said after the next few months she’ll begin the new ‘Shopaholic’ book. She said she writes playing Robbie Williams full blast and uses it to block out the world, kind of, which I found strange but interesting lol. I think it threw most of the people there too lol.
 She’s great. She thinks I’m completely psycho though.
