Quick Week
Another alternative use for revision timetables are as diaries; I’m able to use it to describe everything I’ve done over the past week lol
Saturday: Shopped, revised and babysat.
Sunday: Went to a dog show with Hannah, my dad, my sister and Pom (of course!) We entered him for cutest puppy (although he’s nearly past that stage now) and most handsome dog (it’s unfortunate he looks so feminine) and he didn’t win anything, but it was fun. I was quite surprised by how many people dressed their dogs up with ties, feather boas and rainbow jumpers etc. Maybe next time we’ll make Pom wear his monkey suit ![]()
Monday: Revised
Tuesday: Went to Pizza Hut with Hannah for lunch, we were going to see a film but the times were all messed up :grr: I went for a drink with Em in the evening, because she was coughing and wasn’t up to our dance aerobics thing. But it was fun, we ended up talking to a guy (who’s in our English and my Geography who was pretty drunk lol) for a bit.
Wednesday: My Key Skills IT exam, which was the easiest exam I have ever, EVER done in my life. Put it this way: it was on the computer, and 2 marks were for changing the font of some text in a Word document and making it size 18. I finished the 1 hour 30 mins exam in 40 mins, but they wouldn’t let me leave. So I messed around on the computer; unfortunately the only working graphics program was PhotoDraw, so I made something pretty in that and emailed it to myself. The woman was smiling at me until she realised I had my email account open and then she went mental lol. But, the way I see it, if you can access the Internet and send an email all by yourself, then surely you wouldn’t need to email anyone to ask for help in changing font sizes in Word?! :S Then I had a revision session for English Lit., and went out for a late lunch with Tom and Em. When I got back about 4, my ipod had arrived! ![]()
Thursday: I dumped my old driving instructor because he was seriously pissing me off, and I met my new one called Mark. He’s fairly old and he has the world’s smallest fingers, especially considering he’s about average height for a guy. I’m not joking, his fingers are shorter than mine and I’m small, (supposedly) classed as a petite woman in most main shops
Still, he’s a great instructor, and he really knows what he’s doing. I was a bit wary at first, because an abnormal number of guys over 40 seem to be attracted to me, but he’s perfectly nice and vaguely normal, which makes a change
Third time lucky eh? Then I babysat in the evening.
Today: Went shopping, revised, had a take-away for dinner lol. That’s about it really, today was fairly boring but I got quite a lot of revision done, I’m almost on track now
I feel really bad, but I’m going to return the comments for the last two entries right this second! It’s one of the many things I’ve been putting off at the moment :S

Still on hiatus but…
I thought I’d blog seeing as today was my last day of college *cries* It’s been an amazing two years and I’m really going to miss everybody, hopefully I’ll be able to keep in touch with the best people though
For some reason I find it really difficult to keep in touch with people I don’t see/don’t see very often, even with MSN and email and stuff. Ugh. I don’t know, I think it might partly because I tend to think, well they know my site address and my contact info., they can easily contact me if they want. That works both ways though I know…I think I’m going to try and get into the habit of physically writing letters regularly, it’s always fun to get post
Depending on where the nearest postbox is to me when I move to Nottingham *fingers crossed* of course
Okay, so what’s been happening with me? Here’s a summary of last week:
Monday: Went round to Em’s with Tom
Tuesday: Em took me to dance aerobics
Wednesday: Driving lesson and babysitting
Thursday: Babysitting
Friday: Tom and Em came round
Saturday: Babysat and went to the girl-next-door’s party (aww so cute, she was 1)
Sunday: Went shopping with Tom and Em.
Since I had college every day as well, it was pretty tiring.
It began to catch up on me on Monday, when I got really stressed out from exams and stuff, and I was just generally tired I think. My driving lesson didn’t help this week either; I had really had enough of the idiot, so I’ve got a new instructor called Mark. I’ll be really pissed off if he’s an idiot too because I really like the name Mark and I don’t want him to ruin it for me lol.
Oooh, but good stuff! I won an auction on ebay for a green ipod mini, I can’t wait for that to arrive! As I’ve said to people who’ve asked me before, I don’t listen to music walking down the street, or when I’m with my friends (I think it’s really rude and I hate it when people do it to me), and I cant work and listen to music at the same time, which are the reasons why I didn’t get one before. But seeing as I’m going to university, I thought it’d come in useful since I don’t want to lug my CD player there and it + CDs would take up a lot of space…
Oh, and also, yesterday I went shopping with Em totally by chance and found out that Sophie Kinsella is going to be at a local bookshop to launch ‘The Undomestic Goddess’!!! (She’s the author of the amazing ‘Shopaholic’ series by the way). Not only is she signing, but she’s also chatting, you can get discount off the book, food and drink, AND it’s the only one she’s doing in the country
She’s going to be 8 and a half months pregnant though too lol. I’m soooo excited
So anyway, back to today. First lesson (War Literature) involved the teacher setting up ‘trenches’ in the room using chairs, and playing war games on the Internet in our ‘battalions’ haha. Unfortunately, we found out we’d be no good in a real war. Although the game was made so that Misson 4 couldn’t be completed, which is really annoying. Grrr :grr: Then we gave the English teachers this small notebook we made covering the past year with quotes and stuff, which was highly amusing (they thought so too)
Then I had Geography, and I made the teacher bring in his guitar and play for us. He played a random mix of Kelly Osbourne, Shania Twain, Oasis, Green Day etc. which was sweet and also amusing
Then History, we got our mock exam papers back, and I did pretty well so I’m happy about that
We also bought the teacher a book (between the three of us) on the period of history he likes the most, and that seemed to go down quite well. Then I had a 50 minute break, and then my last lesson of college ever which was Language
One of the worst things about leaving college is that it’s a big reminder that exams are not far off. My first one is on Wednesday, but it’s only Key Skills I.T so nothing much to revise for really, especially since it’s done on the computer with a certain number of pre-created files
So yep, that’s the past two weeks
All comments from the last entry will be returned over the next couple of days, as well ones from this entry if I get the chance
This was supposed to be a long blog about the General Election but I can’t be bothered lol. All I have to say is, grr at my parents for not registering me to vote and then lying and said they had :hmm:
Anyway, I would’ve voted Green, except for the fact that they don’t have a candidate in my area due to the stupid system we use. Except that apart from that, it does actually make sense since it’s a simple ‘first past the post’ thing here in England for those of you who don’t know; they count all the votes and according to the number of votes the party gets, it accounts for how many seats they get in Parliament. Yep. No messing around, no corruption. Apart from the fact it’s a non-democracy since they stopped me from voting. God damn them.
They’ll be sorry when I take over the world. Anyway, I thought I’d outline a few of the ideas I’m going to adopt when I take over the country:
1. A 99p coin to save on change (Monster Raving Loony Party idea)
2. No supporting the war (Liberal Democrats)
3. Tighter controls on immigration (Conservatives)
4. Get rid of the National Health Service – or heavily, heavily edit it (I have a feeling this is too right-wing for any party lol)
5. Bring back the death penalty, but probably never use it (ditto)
6. Reduce the number of cars on the roads through taxes, tolls, etc. etc. (Green Party)
Yep..I don’t have any Labour ideas in there, but that’s because I don’t agree with Labour lol. The only thing they have going for them is that Blair was the hottest mainstream candidate – not that that’s saying much. They don’t really do very much (apart from get involved in illegal wars *cough*) and then take all the credit (e.g. economically)…in my opinion anyway. People these days are all too left wing for my liking. They don’t have the driving ambition to change the world the way I do
Anyway…this is my last blog for *counts* over a month, since I have my A levels to revise for, and I desperately want to get into university, as well as having the added pressure of my teacher wanting me to get full marks *sigh* I have so much to do and so little time…still, I can’t wait for another long summer. I have lots of surprises for you site-wise, and I’m dying to work on them right this second lol, but I have to go and write a few essays :hmm:
I’ll see you all on 27th June, I might be online occasionally, but don’t expect any replies to emails etc. (although I will try to answer the questions in my Ask and Answer) – I’ll sort everything out when I come back!
(All comments will be faithfully returned from this entry, now [well, the 27th June] until the end of September)
