Edit: If you love me, click ! Thank you  Lol there’s a sentence you don’t hear very often…:P
Ha! I found my theory test certificate. It was right where it should have been, in a folder on my desk  I scare myself sometimes :S
Interesting observation; as my hits are going up, my comments are going down. Maybe I’m blogging too often? Or people have better things to do than listen to me ramble on?
Anyway. My ‘prize’ from Bravenet is 10,000 visitors for free. How that works exactly, I’m not sure. All I know is, it costs at least $20 from them and it’s free money/visitors, so who am I to criticise?
A number of little rants:
1. Why the hell have people suddenly become interested in geography since the tsunami? It wasn’t the first and it won’t be the last. There really is no need to compare every natural hazard to the December 26th one(hello?! does the phrase ‘stealing thunder’ not come into it any more?!), and worry that every single movement will cause a huge tsunami. People who previously called tsunamis ‘tidal waves’ because they didn’t know any better, now think that they are the world’s leading experts, just because they turn on CNN for five minutes. It’s going to be in the news all the time from now on, forever. Don’t we have other things to hear about, like how Bush is ruining the lives of everyone on the entire planet, or how they can now cross-breed a pig with a banana (pinana) or something? Yes okay, fair enough, the tsunami was a huge deal, it just pisses me off when the media clearly makes a big deal of it to get more money. And yeah, the people/countries themselves will get ltos of donations/aid, but what about the other countries (like in Africa), where donations etc. will fall, just because there’s no huge media-boosted event going on?
2. On a more material, less political note: How come Americans can pay for itunes via Paypal and I can’t?! I want my five free songs goddamnit! Maybe I should actually think about getting a credit/debit card, but I can’t be bothered lol.
3. I just came across a news article on AOL: McDonald’s is hoping to lure hip hop artists to name drop the Big Mac into lyrics, it has been reported. AOL’s news is often dodgy, so I’m not sure how true this is, but they should not be allowed to do it. Their whole advertising campaign is getting out of hand. Since they started losing so many customers over the whole ‘Supersize Me’ and health issues thing, they’ve tried (at least in my area): revamping the inside (no, putting new chairs in is not going to entice me to eat pounds of processed cow fat and whatever else), getting celebrities involved, adding more ‘salad’ to the menu, offering dried fruit in happy meals (sure, kids are going to love that), a breakfast menu (wtf), promotional adverts, and leaflets through doors with money-off vouchers. How retarded. Why don’t they just spend the money on something useful? If they were going to use it to persuade Paypal/Itunes to let me pay for music through Paypal, or were donating to help tsunami victims/those facing extreme poverty, then I might actually be tempted to eat there. (If I was blindfolded, had my nose removed and had lost my mind that is). The whole advertising thing is getting out of control. England is not America. We don’t appreciate mass forms of pointless advertising here.
Next thing there’ll be a billboard in my back garden telling me to go to McDonald’s because ‘Barbie thinks it’s cool’, or something.
That’s it, until I can think of more rants, or something interesting actually happens to me (I’ll probably regret saying that…)

*waves* Hi, I'm
Yay, you found your certificate!
I think it’s just the opposite for me: my hits are going down and my comments are going up. Hehe no idea why. Congrats on winning the prize from Bravenet!
Teehee, hey. I’m sooo glad you found your theory test certificate. Gosh I’m so jealous of you! 10,000 visitors?! Your so lucky! I don’t get too many hits, but I’m okay with it. I’m just happy I have a little place where I can rant and rave in my blogs. My personal space.
England is not America. Exactly. I wish everyone knew that!
Hmm… You get 10,000 visitors for free? Totally clueless how that’ll work also. lol weird.
Anyway, continue to rant away…
Hey! I’m American and the mass advertising doesn’t affect me. Yes, the methods are… er… stupid. You can’t blame them for trying, though. (I mean, what would you do if your multibillion empire is slipping into nothingness? I’m not defending them, just using logic.)
God, I know! Though, we Americans hear plenty about Bush. I myself hate the retard. Not that Kerry was the best nomination for the presidency either… I was a loyal Dean supporter. Bush is ruining everything… everywhere. Damnit, I hope the Democrats can get their act together for the 2008 elections so we might have a chance at getting partially out of this hell hole Bush is digging and burying us in.
Oh shiz, I hate McDonalds too. I don’t eat a whole lot of American food… even though I am American.
Must be those wacky Asian genes… Most of my diet is very much oriental… and I have expensive taste buds. No matter how much icky advertising McDonalds does I don’t think anything can convince me to eat there. Ick!

Lol, i really have nothing to say other than that I completely agree with you! Bush is just synomonous with stupid, and oil driven :grr:
Oh yay, I’m glad you found it. Silly you, not looking on your desk! I love listening to you ramble
Wow, I guess they..advertise for you? Good prize I guess
I agree somewhat about the tsunami thing. I know that the Red Cross in our area has been unable to help as many fire victims lately because so many of the larger doners are giving money to the tsunami. And I also think we should help, but there are other ongoing battles (like AIDS in Africa) that need constant attention. I don’t know about McDonalds. I eat there, I really don’t think they lost THAT many customers. But probably quite a few still. But they really don’t need to advertise more. I don’t know anyone around here who doesn’t know about McDonalds.
Personally I was interested in Geography before this tsunami, and have always been interested in natural distasters. When I first heard people calling it a tidal wave I wasn’t very pleased, they’re two different things, which the media didn’t seem to know at the time. We do need to know what is happening around the world, and get told about major earthquakes, volcanos etc. They’re not worrying about every signle movement starting a tsunami at all. This was nearly as powerful as the last earthquake, so they’re bound to be worried and tell us that there’s a risk, because there is. There’s been loads of mini earthquakes since December 26th and they haven’t told us about them. I looked on a site this morning that records earthquakes, and since the one yesterday there’s been loads at 5.something and a few at 4.? but they haven’t told us about them. Sorry for that little rant.
Wow, that’s good that you found the certificate and won the Bravenet comptetion. It must be your lucky week, lol.
I agree about Mcdonald’s. However tacky and desperate their advertising methods are, it’s not gonna make their food ant better, so why don’t they just stop trying? I for one, don’t wish to eat processed mystery meat just because my favourite star name dropped in a song.:hmm:
Anyway, rant over. Congrats again on winning all those hits, although I’m still completely baffled as to how that’s going to work.
Hey Jenni!! Love the site, as always!! Keep it up!
And I’m glad you found the theory test certificate!!I wonder what would have happened if you didn’t….*shakes head in mock horror*…Anyhow, Keep Up the great work on this site, you’ve obviously worked hard!!
Bye! from blair:)
I’m always loosing stupid stuff. Anything I say wil hve been already said before, I haven’t many new Ideas. I only verry occasionaly ate a Mackdonald.
OMG! if Barbie think Mcdolnalds is cool i like sooo must go!! Like omg! -runs away-
Hey! Wow… loved the rambles. Hehe… Barbie in your back yard, now that would be pretty cool!;) But anyway, I know what you mean, the media just exaggerate everything – yes, it was a tragedy, but there are millions of other stuff going on in the world too!!! Yea, Bush is just… urgh. No words can be used to describe my feelings. Oh, and about Geography… well lets just say that my geography teacher put me completely off geography. lol!:P
Haha, interesting outlooks you’ve got there:)and wow, 10000 visitors? thats crazy!
Hey Jenni!
Haven’t spoke to you in awhile hope you are ok :hmm:.
Lol yup they are some intresting rants lol. Especially the one about the geography. No offence but i find geography so ‘boring’ :grr:
And the mc donalds one is ridiciulous! I mean that is so sad someone rappins ‘ blah blah blah with my big mac!’ lol i cant see it happening anyway nice to hear from you and i dont think you blog to often it keeps me checking back lol for more!
I agree but i think that everything sold on the internet should have the paypal choice and i mean everything lol. Anyway i hope to speak to you soon
looking forward to your rants lol if you can think of anymore! Im glad you found your certificate that sounds like something i woukd end up doing lol. Speak sooooooooooooooooooooooooon!
I totally agree with your ‘tsunami-rant’. And I already thought McDonalds was stupid, so I agree with that one as well
I don’t eat McDonalds though, I think the food is totally disgusting… ugh. But I love their milkshakes and McFlurries
I’m glad you found your theory test certificate back
I was interested in geography before the tsunami. The tsunami actually destroyed everything about it. I mean, I know it’s horrible, thousands of people died, even more were made homeless and so on, but we didn’t really have to hear the same “news” about it every hour of the day for a month?! It’s just so annoying that news people are going to talk about all of these things for ages and forget “more” important things like Africa, poverty, AIDS etc., etc.:hmm:
And you’re totally right, Bush is really ruining for everyone, I really can’t stand him:grr: Oh, and did you know that in his “victory parade” in January, he really looked like a monkey or something walking down that street:D Gosh, he’s so stupid:P
And the reason why they can pay for itunes via Paypal is probably because they are a bunch of spoiled people most of them, pretty sad actually:sick:
On the MacDonald’s thing=No comment:crazy:
Go you girl! Rants rock
That McDonalds this is absolutely pathetic. We live in an odd world.
Lol that’s a nice entry.I like reading your blog.;)
I do feel sort of offended by the number of times your ranted about Americans, but whatever.I don’t especially like Mcdonald’s dont really hate it either because we dont eat there often.
I’m glad you found your cetificate
Don’t worry about not looking in the most obvious place, I do it all the time.
Oh, congratulations also on winning the Bravenet thing. The prize sounds cool.
I agree with you on the Tsunami, I heard that they have ended up giving money to other charities as all the advertising has caused them to get way more then they need.
On the i-tunes thing, don’t get me started! Americans, in my opinion, seem to get everything first. (this is not an attack on the american public, but just the people who do this stuff)
I also agree with you on the McDonalds thing, though it’s unfair to base it all on them when places like Burger King are just as bad. Cya!
Glad you found your certificate. I knew it’d show up. The McDonalds thing is… strange.
glad you found it! please keep blogging, i love reading your blogs, they um… make me laugh
cool prize
um… just re-read your blog, the last McDs rant is so true. ugh. i hate mcDonalds
I love it when you blog. It gives me sometihng to do. I agree with your rants.
I totally agree with your maccy d’s rant. Doing that would just increase child obsesity but making eating fatty foods cool. :grr:
I joined your fl!
Thank you for the link to the FL Jenni! You’re the greatest:D
Wow, I never knew about the McDonalds rap thing! That would be really funny! & the fruit & salad thing isn’t working cas no one wants to pay loods for a fruit cocktail which consists of 3 little pieces of fruit!
btw i just want to point out that even tho a lot of money is going to the tsunami there will still be looods of ppl who dont get anything. most of the money usually ends up in someone’s pocket who doesnt really need it. most of the really poor people dont get anything. even before the tsunami they were getting money from other countries but it most of the money “disapeared”. i’ve travelled around sri lanka & those kind of countries & i think its awful how poor they are. they have nothing! the richest people there live in mudhouses! thats consider a luxuary! i dont really agree with you (no offence!) cas africa is always getting money from other countries & you should give a lot of money for the tsunami now cas they need it now & if you give a bit every year (like for Africa) that would be stupid because the people wont be abled to survive that long. they need all the help they can now as they dont have anything. they have lost their families & the little they had while in africa they still have their families & their homes. welll thats just my opinion!:D
Ohh, a new FL! I kind of quit joining those (I get too carried away), or I would!
I agree with the first point, indefinitely. Although the old English name for ‘tsunami’ WAS ‘tidal wave’.
Hey keep blogging i luv reading it!
Ya i know what you mean about the tusnami, i never thought about it like that, and how people in africa need donations and how the media are just using it for money its true and disgusting. lol i think people who go to mc donalds and have the breakfast or the salad or really stupid because you could just stay at home and make a fresh salad/ breakfast for free (and you would know whats in it,) but no they chose to go to mc donalds and eat processed food yum
Ive never been to wimpy but apparently its like mc donalds but alot healthier… i dunno though :S
I agree with your rants about people all of a suddent being geography and recent international event know it alls … I donated money to Aids Charities, and other great causes after the Tsunami, not just to the Red Cross or whatever Tsunami Relief Fund…
I did’nt know that itunes was giving away free songs… humm, also the thing about paypal kinda of sucks… hopefully you can find your way around that one and some how inthe end get your free songs!
McD’s is nasty, though I do go there and get some ice ceam everynow and then with my work children… ahhh cheep and ever endless supply of quepons.
Wow, 10,000 visitors, is that through free advertising til your hits reach 10,000? Meh, i get about 1 hit a week neway and barely any comments.
*hint hint*
at least im woman enough to admit it, unlike some others that have posted on here.
iv joined the fanlisting
Urgh that “Tsunami” media stuff is really pissing me off too. I understand reporting what happend but some people are making it out that there was ANOTHER one :grr:. I noticed that in Ireland Mac Donalds are doing up all of their branches, and the whole “happy” meal thing. I dont get whats so happy about THAT meal!
Cool! A random number of 10,000 unknown visitors! Well about the tsunami, I agree. I think it’s enough about to learn all about tsunamis. It’s funny because just before it happened, my World Geography class studied South Asia.. and Africa a few weeks earlier…
Not a Bush fan either… but well, since I’m not 18, my vote doesn’t count! lol. Can’t wait untill 2008, I’ll be 18 and ready for a Democratic LEADER.
I didnt know that about the iTunes thing. Well, I just use iTunes to preview a song and if I really like it, I will get it on Limewire! I hate McDonalds… enough said.
Hey again
hehehe i joined your cool new fanlisting
Im proud to be a member!! lol
Hey there! Hehe, my hits are going up, and so are my comments… Let’s see how long that will last. Hehe. You always get a ton of comments!!! Anyways, congrats on finding that certificate!! Hehe, I actually haven’t seen anybody that got interested in geography because of the tsunami… Hmm, that’s a weird Bravenet thing… Well, I have to get going, so take care!
10’000 visitors for free is cool, but.. what do you mean for free? I mean, I don’t exactly pay to visit your site now.. =/
Yeah, it is stupid how big a deal people have made about the tsunami. We don’t talk *too* much about it right now, but so many people bring it up and then have arguments about which story is truer, all of which they saw on the news.
Macdonalds in australia is having a big thing about having “healthy food, served right in front of you!” as well, which is NOT happening, all I see is them turning around and grab an already prepared and made meal/roll/whatever. And the food still isn’t that great. =/
Anywho.. haha.. you ditz haha the certificate was on your table! =p that’s just like me. hahah.
ahh.. take care, buhbai
lol. Don’t worry about blogging too often.. I tryt o blog everyday, but it doesn’t work. lol.
Oh Jenni, and also, your comments page.. When I comment it takes forever to post. I dont know why..
