The last line of my previous blog makes me smile. Suddenly everyone’s on at me to do all ‘active’ stuff. As well as all the walking around Italy I’ve done this holiday, and the 15 mile walk, I went to a dance/aerobics thing with Em on Tuesday night, and took Pom out with Laura’s dogs again today. Plus, Hannah asked me to go to the gym with her but that really is going too far. I used to be the most unactive person ever a couple of years ago, and going to the gym would be too extreme lol. I’m so tired! I also got moving college-wise as well. I’ve finished the first draft of my Geography coursework, done half a mock exam for English and two essays. I still have 2 mock exams to do though, plus a lot of ‘bitty’ things. But at least I made a good start
I’m sorry Sherri, if you felt offended, it turned into more of an America-rant (Amerant? lol) than it was supposed to be. I really didn’t mean to offend anybody.
So…my dad finally remembered to pick up my holiday photos (NYC and Italy)…this time I didn’t make the mistake of getting them and having to pay for them out of my own money. Photos are sooo expensive  I got them put on CD too, so I’ll add them to the site soon. There was a mixup though, and instead of my NYC pics on CD I got 27 pictures of a random baby + parents. I was like, ‘Wtf…’ when I loaded them onto my PC haha. But it’s okay, I have my friend’s digital camera pics so if the mistake can’t be fixed it won’t bother me too much. (Oooh I’m just so optimistic these days!)
Yep..my life is its usual interesting self
*sigh* I’m going round to Tom’s for dinner tomorrow though, it’s his turn to cook for Em and I, so that should be fun. Hopefully I’ll be going shopping in the day with Hannah too, even though I can’t afford it after my recent trip to the Trafford Centre (new lilac Skechers + 2 new tops + part of Hannah’s birthday present + 2 new books means I’m pretty much broke) – especially after having to pay £80 for my driving lesson and my driving test…ugh. I feel completely depressed now
So…what are you doing for April Fools’? I’m doing absolutely nothing, and I hope no one does anything to me lol. I hate stuff like that. I feel like such a sitting duck, both online and off…

Edit: If you love me, click here! Thank you Frodo! Lol there’s a sentence you don’t hear very often…:P
Ha! I found my theory test certificate. It was right where it should have been, in a folder on my desk  I scare myself sometimes :S
Interesting observation; as my hits are going up, my comments are going down. Maybe I’m blogging too often? Or people have better things to do than listen to me ramble on?
Anyway. My ‘prize’ from Bravenet is 10,000 visitors for free. How that works exactly, I’m not sure. All I know is, it costs at least $20 from them and it’s free money/visitors, so who am I to criticise?
A number of little rants:
1. Why the hell have people suddenly become interested in geography since the tsunami? It wasn’t the first and it won’t be the last. There really is no need to compare every natural hazard to the December 26th one(hello?! does the phrase ’stealing thunder’ not come into it any more?!), and worry that every single movement will cause a huge tsunami. People who previously called tsunamis ‘tidal waves’ because they didn’t know any better, now think that they are the world’s leading experts, just because they turn on CNN for five minutes. It’s going to be in the news all the time from now on, forever. Don’t we have other things to hear about, like how Bush is ruining the lives of everyone on the entire planet, or how they can now cross-breed a pig with a banana (pinana) or something? Yes okay, fair enough, the tsunami was a huge deal, it just pisses me off when the media clearly makes a big deal of it to get more money. And yeah, the people/countries themselves will get ltos of donations/aid, but what about the other countries (like in Africa), where donations etc. will fall, just because there’s no huge media-boosted event going on?
2. On a more material, less political note: How come Americans can pay for itunes via Paypal and I can’t?! I want my five free songs goddamnit! Maybe I should actually think about getting a credit/debit card, but I can’t be bothered lol.
3. I just came across a news article on AOL: McDonald’s is hoping to lure hip hop artists to name drop the Big Mac into lyrics, it has been reported. AOL’s news is often dodgy, so I’m not sure how true this is, but they should not be allowed to do it. Their whole advertising campaign is getting out of hand. Since they started losing so many customers over the whole ‘Supersize Me’ and health issues thing, they’ve tried (at least in my area): revamping the inside (no, putting new chairs in is not going to entice me to eat pounds of processed cow fat and whatever else), getting celebrities involved, adding more ’salad’ to the menu, offering dried fruit in happy meals (sure, kids are going to love that), a breakfast menu (wtf), promotional adverts, and leaflets through doors with money-off vouchers. How retarded. Why don’t they just spend the money on something useful? If they were going to use it to persuade Paypal/Itunes to let me pay for music through Paypal, or were donating to help tsunami victims/those facing extreme poverty, then I might actually be tempted to eat there. (If I was blindfolded, had my nose removed and had lost my mind that is). The whole advertising thing is getting out of control. England is not America. We don’t appreciate mass forms of pointless advertising here.
Next thing there’ll be a billboard in my back garden telling me to go to McDonald’s because ‘Barbie thinks it’s cool’, or something.
That’s it, until I can think of more rants, or something interesting actually happens to me (I’ll probably regret saying that…)

It’s really quiet in my house. Everyone only woke up a few hours ago; Lara had a birthday sleepover last night, and no one got any sleep. She had about 10-15 girls over :S Even Fuzz got no sleep; she was hiding under my bed most of last night and this morning, and there is very little space under my bed lol. I have a lot of crap under it
Pom was downstairs with them, I think he was too excited though haha he kept barking. I went to bed about 1am after playing Sims 2 University – yep, it arrived on Lara’s birthday! I  Amazon so much. Lara’s friends woke me up about 7am with their shouting which really pissed me off. Who the hell gets up that early on a Sunday?!
I had a pretty creepy babysitting experience last night. I was reading some stuff on Psycho (you know, the film) for English, and I was feeling a bit freaked out anyway, when the phone rang. So I went to answer it, and the other person hung up. Then a few seconds later, the same thing happened again. It sounds stupid, but I could hear noises outside and upstairs (although the wood creaks a lot so it doesn’t usually bother me). Of course, my imagination was running riot at this point. I was too scared to go upstairs and look lol. Anyway, some time after that, Zac cried out. I was like, omg now I really do have to go upstairs. I swear, my heart was pounding, imagining murderers and burglars – but he’d just wet the bed, poor kid. So I changed his sheets, and as I was going downstairs I noticed out of the corner of my eye that his parents’ bedroom light was on…which it never usually is, and I’m sure I would’ve noticed it was on before when I put Zac to bed and read him a story. He could have switched it on himself I guess, but when I went up he was in his room and half asleep…Anyway, I went back down and watched some TV, and then a few mins later they came home (early, thank god – I would never have lasted till midnight) and I felt really stupid for being so scared.
Oh, on a Sims University point, does anyone know how to turn aging off in the university? I’m tried ‘aging off’ and ‘aging on’, but neither does anything, and my Sims have no friends because they have to study so hard lol, and there’s no time to socialise/get a job.
I’m procrastinating over working. I’ve re-written and typed up the introduction to my Geography coursework, and spent about three hours making pretty maps for it lol. I’ve also written the bibilography and played with all the fonts for ages – I just can’t be bothered getting on with it lol. It’s like 4 pages long though, which isn’t too bad. I just hope it prints okay – the maps would look fine as web graphics, but you can never tell with printing out stuff….
Happy Easter everybody
