My exams are finally over thank GOD. The geography exam was really, REALLY hard. I’ll wait to see what I get though because I’ve never actually done a Geo. exam I felt went well, and yet I get okay marks 
I’m just relieved my exams are over, but ironically, now I have a little free time, I’m too tired to do anything. Plus, I have sooo much coursework to do for English :grr: Still I’m going to give myself tonight off, then start work on it tomorrow. Hopefully I can go to the library tomorrow for a few hours since my History lesson’s been cancelled and I don’t have to go to Tutorial on Tuesdays any more 
I was thinking about switching to Word Press for my blogs, but to be honest I don’t see that it’s that much better, from comparative reviews I’ve read. Since it’s from the makers of b2, who have now quit working on that, who’s to say they won’t quit this project just as quickly? Plus I remember the frustration I had installing and editing MT a couple of years ago, and I just can’t be bothered. I’ve edited/installed/hacked/plugged so many things, I don’t want to go through it all again with WP. Apart from threaded comments, which look far too hard to install to me, and smilies which work in Firefox (back to the drawing board on that one I think), I have MT almost exactly how I want it. I just need to fiddle with the smilies and the archives I’d prefer to spend my time updating pages and sorting out coding problems to be honest The old, ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ thing comes into play here I feel 
Well, I’m going to enjoy my time off on for a bit I think :love:

Yay! That’s so great that your exams have finished, I’m happy for you. It always seems that there’s a million other things you could be doing, when they’re going on, but when they end, I’m always bored. :yawn: I think you should stay with MT, I know I couldn’t take installing a whole new blogging tool after spending so much time customising the other one.;) Good luck with Starshine, I think I might pop over and join sometime today.

I’ve heard from people that workpress is a real pain in the backside to install. MT is good and it does it job. Like you say, if it aint broke, don’t six it.
Exactly, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Ah, my motto in life….I use it all the time, whether something is “broke” or not.

Yea, why get rid of MT when nothing is wrong with it? XD And you could be spending your time on better things so yea. Dont change! Well, thats just my opinion =D

Hi Jenni, WELL DONe with all exams. I think you should stay with MT, you don’t need the extra hassle of installing an WHOLE new programme. But it’s your site and it’s your call. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I say don’t bother with wordpress. MT works fine, so there’s not really a point to put up with the hassle of changing it when you could be doing other things. It’s great that your exams are over (I wish mine were, we’re starting midterms this week though) I hope that you did well.

I would definitely stick with Moveable Type. It seems like a much more customizable and flexible beast.
Ok, now I’m bordering on wishful thinking, but still, it sounds better than 70% or 80% or whatever.
I bet your exams did go well, because I’m forever the optimist, so I predict 100% on every test you do!

You definitely deserve a day off now, all that work going into studying and all. WordPress is just the next level of b2, which is why they stopped working on b2. Most places don’t still update the older versions when they have a newer version out

Well I changed from GM to WP. It was really easy to install but quite impossible to customise but I think I know how to now. I’m currently using b2. I like it, it’s really easy to customise but the features aren’t as good as WP but overall it is very good

b2 is far better than WordPress actually. WordPress has so many unneeded features and the template is very confusing. I’m trying it though, since everyone has it and I am JEALOUS. Hehehe
I also dont get how the hell to install hacks, WordPress just aint makin sense. Blah. Welll, it has SOME hacks, not as many as b2 but b2 has been around longer and WordPress seems to have extra built-in features. Amazingly some people think you cant change the smilies in WordPress. I mean like, what triggers them too. Lol. Google, people

well i hope you did a good job on your exams. i dont think i did very well on mine though :S well i personaly like wordpress i sed it before templates are a little hard though, or maybe thats just, idk, but why bother w/ WP when MT works fine. unless its being a pain to you, so yea its really your decision.

Hey, I haven’t been here for awhile. But I’m currently doing geography AS level, so I hope the exams aren’t that hard. I’m sure you’ll do fine though, think positive.
I also read past blogs and I sat the Russian paper as well a week or two ago, when it didn’t ask ONE THING on the provisional government etc. I was well made up.
