I figured out a way of using my old keyboard…there really aren’t enough sockets/outlets/whatevers on the back of my new PC :grr:
Along with a few other site owners, I got criticised for never returning comments. That is mainly because I get far too many to return them all, it doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate them. I spend a lot of time reading each and every single one, and I know who my regular commenters are, even if I don’t return comments. I’d also like to think that a plug is enough, after all my entries should (in theory) inspire you to comment without expecting anything in return, and I do offer a hell of a lot of content for free.
But, I’ve decided to compromise. For each entry (starting with this one), I will return the three most thoughtful comments. Some people just leave comments like ‘nice site’, and clearly haven’t even read my blog, whereas some people try their best to leave long, original comments, and that should always be encouraged 
Yeah…I should’ve put my non-blogging excuses at the top, but never mind. I’ve been doing a lot of studying for my exams recently; my first one is on Tuesday. Luckily, 3 of my exams are in the afternoon, and college lets us take the morning off. But since I have some lessons which I really have to go to, that I have exams in at the end of this month, I’m going to pick and choose my lessons, which should be fun 
I was so pissed off on Friday. I got up early to finish an exam paper on Russia 1905-1917, which included a long, 24 mark question at the end. Then I got into college, and had to do another essay on Othello, which I really couldn’t be bothered with (only about 5 people in the class turned up anyway), and the teacher was totally taking the piss out of me for most of the lesson, which is evil, and also unfair, since he writes comedy for TV and can mock me a lot better than I can mock him (despite the fact that he is an evil tiny gnome ). Then I had Geography, and had to do ANOTHER essay on global deforestation. What annoyed me about this too was that the techer was wrong about quite a few things, and the arguments he presented didn’t stand up, and he also used the wrong terminology for some things :hmm: Then History, and although I didn’t have to write an essay I did make loads of notes and we also went through an exam paper (my personal 5th Russia one that week, everybody else’s first). Then I had a so-called ‘free’, where I spent an hour copying up poetry notes and working. So by the time I got to my last lesson I was not a happy bunny I was in the most hideous mood ever, something which wasn’t helped by the teacher on my back about finishing coursework. Hello?! I’ve written 15 essays in total this week, there is a physical limit to how much one person can do! Then we were put into groups (like in primary school for God’s sake), and told to do some sheet which the teacher euphemistically described as ‘fun’. I had this guy in my group that used to go to a private school, and while he’s fine on his own, when he’s in a group it’s just shit. I basically wasn’t saying anything because I was tired out and couldn’t be bothered, whereas everyone else was quiet because they didn’t know the answers (and I’m not convinced I knew too many of them either…). So the guy’s like, ‘Is anyone else going to say anything or must I give this entire lecture?’ or something like that in a serious way. I nearly smacked him, and if I hadn’t been so tired I definitely would’ve done. My teacher later picked up on my mood for the wrong reason, and thought I was pissed off at him (which I was, but at the same time I was relieved I could hand the work over to him. It was weird). I swear he put us in the same group on purpose :hmm:
But I’ve had a chance to calm down now, and I’m good I babysat last night (they paid me £16 in coins UGH) and spent most of the time studying as the TV was crap, and I’m not TOO behind now as long as I do some work today. I don’t know when I’ll be around next, don’t want to make any promises, but I’ll try to catch up with email and u2us over the next couple of days

15 essays? God A levels are so evil. If it’s any conselation I have been trying desparately to work on my DT coursework all weeked. My ‘group’ have given up and left me to do all the work. So i’m in a similar mood. Why do teachers do the group work thing? It doesn’t work, and most people can do a way better job themselves.

I hate those questions which are worth like 20 marks because I end up writing loads about something that wasn’t anything to do with the question in the first place. I’ll really need to sort that out before I take any big exams etc

I can’t believe you got criticised for not returning comments! For one thing it’s probably hypocritical as they probably never return there comments and secondly, as you said, they get free pluggage and should be greatful for that! Plus you do give alot for free and they should be greatful.

Although it’s not all of them, quite a few people who go to private schools have that attitude. I live quite near a grammar school and whenever I pass it they seem to think its ok for them to push past when we clearly have the right of way! I hate days like that, i had one in the start of december, i’d done tons of work for a change and then had a really bad day.. i left my folder at home with all my work in it, my pencil case, my paper, my lipgloss! and then in pyschology my kind teacher pointed out that i had hideously odd socks on and i started crying, whats worse is she keeps bringing up the subject lol! i wouldn’t of cried if it was just odd socks! ahh

It’s terrible that people get angry at you for not returning comments, you have upwards of fifty at least on each post. I agree that you should make an effort to return posts, also things will pick up at least you ahev your essays together so when they are done they are done, it is better than them dragging on and on and on! I want to do babysitting but I don’t think anyone would trust me with there precious child lol!
I sympathise with your problem about the number of sockets, we seem to have a 1001 wires sticking out of the computer and 2 USB ports and some extension leads and some extra sockets. Best of luck for your exams, you have studied hard, so all that is left for you to do is show how well you are in the exams. A 24 mark question, how horrible. I have never seen a question worth that much. You must be exhausted you have worked so hard, but I bet it’ll just show in your amazing exam grades

Your teacher sounds really mean, he so shouldn’t be allowed to mock you! I can’t even pronounce the name of your geography thing so I am imagining it to be like a really imposible essay! You should have corrected your geog teacher, it would have been funny…our geography teacher wastes the whole lesson chatting bout eastenders and about designers in italy (were doing italy at the moment) she is a really bad teacher, which yea could be good but then our class is really far behind we might have to swap with the Top Group to catch up 
Your history sounds tuff…ours is only like about King Charles 1′s execution (but I am only 13, well next year I am 15..he he) Yeah some teachers do need to get there heads around the fact no-one spends their life going to school/college and then coming home doing homework going to bed and starting again…we have a LIFE aswell! Some guys who have been to private schools get it in their heads, girls aren’t as bad but some boys think they are all snooty and better than state school boys…posh jerks (only some not all)! So what subjects are you taking at college? My sister Laura is going to take History, Geography, English, Maths and Drama. I hate my keyboard. It’s one of those cordless ones that no matter HOW many times you change the battery, clean it, get frustrated and bang your head on the wall till it falls of, doesnt adjust to the speed you type. Its like playing an old piano. The keys seem to stick when youre trying to play something fast and it just lags. I can type 86 Million times, exactly, faster than the letters are appearing on this screen
Yeah, I hate my history teacher and my geography teacher. They both always pick on me to answer their stupid questions and and they always seem to get me when Im confused. grr. Dont they just love intimidating me??

Bleh, I often pind private school people are just stuck up and think they are sooo it because theyre mummy and daddy own a huge multi-million pound business so they can afford for them to go to a private school. If he thinks hes so good, why didnt he get into Oxford/Cambridge (making a general assumption here)
I have a friend called Olivia who went to a private school but now goes to a grammar school with me and all my other friends xD Well, at least grammar school pupils are likely to have intelligence since they passed an exam to be even offered a place. I know someone in my form who is stupid and thinks they know everything though. She gets like 50% in everything and she got 8/35 in a geography quiz once and started crying 0_o

And when I saw how many essays you wrote this week, I thought, wow, you must be really busy! I had to write one essay over Christmas, and what a stupid essay it was, too. Though I’m only in Year 8 and doing an essay on Oliver Cromwell would be rot 
And I wasn’t a happy bunny by the end of MY last lesson too. I had to resist the urge to smack a few people who badly get on my nerves, but I couldn’t, and anyway, I just hope I could sort out my ‘happiness’ in time for tomorrow, because I’ve got so boring subjects. (How would YOU react if you had double English one day and double Science the next?!?) And I had a feeling that I was in secondary school and yet my ‘classmates’ were acting as though they were four… but ah well. Whoah, that homework load is crazy. I sort of know how you feel, I’m in grade 9 and they pile the homework on us. We got huge assignments and then as soon as we finished them we got more.
Isn’t group work annoying? I really hate it when theres people in your group who know nothing about the topic and take control, thinking that they know more than everyone else, and they don’t!

Damn I know what you mean about teachers being evil and constantly picking on you, because mine (and my previous one) is like that. And so comes exam time, I haven’t started studing yet thought. That really bothers me, when a teacher makes mistakes in class, teaching you the wrong thing. But the worst is when they DENY their wrong….I have a English techer, who when reading a book, kept getting the characteers messed up, but when we corrected him he always goes “I was just testing you.” Well, he’s a french teacher but this semster we ran out of english teachers so they stuck him with our class, and I have learned nothing.15 essays! I wrote one…and I was stressed. Seems like school’s been getting more demanding(well it is for me) I’ll be happy when exams are over, everything’s much easier.

Personally, I think it’s impossible for you to return all comments as this is a popular site. You’d never get anything done if all you did was return the comments, and you do deserve a life outside of this site.
