SS

Oooh, Lindy and I installed an auction hack for Starshine, you can now set up your own ebay-style auctions or bid on other people’s :) It’s cool.
On another SS note, if you’re a member, please do me a favour and give your opinion here. Thanks!

Mad Weekend

My party was pretty good..it wasn’t amazing, and only about 50 people turned up, but all my best friends were there and I had a good time :D I got some really random presents from my friends, including cat food and a hand-made big purple fish with gold stars on it (may take pics at a later date)
I ended up straightening my hair…I was going to re-curl it but I didn’t have time. We took about 6 disposable cameras, and I think they’re all finished, so I’ll pick out the best pics once they get developed and scan them along with my NY photos ( I still need to install the scanner for my new computer  )

The thing about alcohol is that it exacerbates everything. Stuff that would happen slowly over a period of weeks or even months happens in the space of a few hours, to lots of different groups of my friends. It took me until last night to actually catch up with what was happening, and the social carnage from it is still causing problems (and costing me money – I gave my friend £25 yesterday, but I won’t go into that because it’s too personal for just random people to read, no offence lol). But for now I’ve put that out of my head to work through my list of things to do, a combination of college and website stuff. Although I have spent hours looking for my Eng. Lit. notes and I can’t find them anywhere :grr: I’ve been through all the sheets etc. on my desk and they just aren’t there, though I vividly remember adding a couple more ideas to them just last week :S There are a couple of other places I can look though, so I’ll try those. Sorry this blog is so boring lol, it’s just a token blog to let you all know I survived the party :P

Wednesday

Yesterday was really good. After I left college at 1:45, I walked Pom. He has his own stalker lol. As I was walking him down a road near me that we always go down, this woman came running across the street to talk to me about him. She was saying how sparky he is, and what a cute personality he’s got, because he never walks in a straight line but is always running off from side to side to check everything out. She said she’s been watching him grow over the past few months…scary :S She was nice enough though. I’d better make sure he behaves in future with people staring at us through their windows lol.

After that, I met up with Hannah and went into the village to get some hair stuff. I’m determined to have curly hair for my party tomorrow, but my hair is so long and thick curls just won’t stay in. I’ve tried everything! Now I’m using a combination of different things (2 sprays, mousse and these random twisty things), which will hopefully make the curls last a few hours rather than 5 mins; that’s how long they last with curling tongs :hmm:

Then I had my driving lesson, which is always fun, and more like life therapy than a lesson haha. I ended it a bit early though and drove back to college for Open Evening. Em and I were supposed to be talking to people (and their parents) who might be interested in doing English or Communication next year, but I didn’t really do anything except mess around and laugh. The English department at college is hilarious, and once you got one guy and another guy who writes comedy for TV together…it was like a double act, I can’t remember the last time I laughed so much :D It wasn’t like being with teachers at all, especially since we slagged off another teacher who wasn’t there :P I took a break (from laughing) to go and visit the Geography/Environmental Science department. My teacher was there, plus the head of the department who’s so nice. I felt like she knew me, even though we’ve only spoken about twice. I think my teacher has been talking far too much about me :P So I had a chat with my teacher and the head of the department, then wandered back to English. One of my friends was actually getting paid for helping out, but she actually had to work lol so I prefer my ‘job’ :P

I was pretty well represented by my work, they had an essay out of mine for English Lit, my English Language coursework (2 pieces) and my entire Geography coursework which is like a book it’s so thick. I wasn’t expecting that  It’s nice to know it can be of use to other people though :D Then Em dropped me back home; I only missed the first few minutes of The Bill which I was pleased about  I’m so sad :P

So, yup, I’m sitting here now with my hair curling (hopefully), and considering starting an essay which should’ve been finished in December, but can’t really be bothered  I might have a little browse of the Internet first ;)
