Can’t Sleep

Too many late nights…my body is seriously messed up, which is why I’m wide awake at midnight instead of asleep/sleepy :P And it’s New Years’ tomorrow (or today rather), which means another sleepless night :crazy:
Yeah, I didn’t phrase it very well in my last entry because I was being lazy. I meant that my uncle phoned up to ask if my aunt could stay….it’s a culture thing. Besides, my dad’s brother is closer to him than his sister-in-law (obviously).
I’m still working on the You section, there have been some other changes though, like the layout for the Ask A Question page, which is now skinned to match the rest of the site. I’m going to skin the guestbook too when I’ve got the chance, then everything matches perfectly ;)
I had a really good driving lesson yesterday. I really cracked Matt up when I said, ‘Where’s the road gone?!’ in utter disbelief when driving around a corner (hey, it was really dark). He didn’t stop laughing for about 10 minutes, during which time I’d seen the funny side, laughed, and forgotten about it :P He said that he got a toy (remote controlled) helicopter for Christmas (that he’d asked for), which I have to say did worry me slightly. But then again, he’s only 23 and has the mental age of a 3 year old on crack, so I guess it’s not that surprising :D He did say he liked me as a pupil though, which is good, and he also described me as ‘quirky’, which is not an adjective ever used to describe me before I don’t think. It’s how I am in driving lessons though :blush:
It’s nice to have changes occasionally, and I bought some Dove shampoo and the Fructis conditioner for long hair (I love the smell of that stuff), and my hair looks and feels gorgeous. My hair always looks nice when I change shampoo and conditioner, or I don’t use conditioner for a while and then start using it again, but I’ve used it a few times now and my hair feels really silky and light. The conditioner isn’t supposed to have much effect until at least 5 washes, but my hair is already smoother. It even looks good in my bathroom mirror, which is evil and makes everybody look awful. I think there’s something psychological about being confident about your hair :P It makes me feel happy when I feel my hair looks good lol. And my sister is relieved, since it means I’m not wearing my New York hat any more. It’s nothing special, just pink. And I mean pink. So pink that more than one person has asked me whether it glows in the dark (it doesn’t really, if you’re interested). I went shopping the other day and a random guy giving out sweets in Next offered me a mint for it. I took one anyway of course ;) A lot of people have told me it looks good, it’s just my sister who hates it. She’s honest, but not always great with fashion. So I’m not sure who to believe :P I’ll probably wear it to one of my Geography lessons next week, the guys will give me an honest opinion there lol.
Alright…well, I think I’m going to go back to Fuzz and my book in bed now. Good night! :love:

    I think the skin of the ask and answer page rocks. The text area looks wicked.

    I agree with you, the bathroom mirror is evil! I just hate looking at my self because I’m so ugly!!!

    Awww your hat sounds cute! Don’t listen to what other people say/think, if you like something, you should wear it without caring what other people think!! Oh, I have really long hair, and most conditioners don’t seem to work well on my hair, but Fructis does work well!!! Ahhhh it’s so nice to have silky, loveable hair, isn’t it?

    And our bathroom mirror actually makes everyone look good, because it’s quite dark in our bathroom!

    Oh my gosh, Jenni, you are my twin. Only I’m still awake at 3 (like right now) Aww that’s really funny, I’d probably be like Matt and laugh forever. Bleh. I hate my hair just because it’s icky :P Haha. Hat. :)

    your hat sounds amazing! but then again I love anything pink :P Your driving instructor sounds quite cool, my dad who is in his late forties got a remote control ferrari for christmas so I guess it isnt just your driving instructor who has never grown up lol.

    I WAS going to get that conditioner but I already had like a bunch of other brands Brilliant Brunette has a cinnamon-y kind of smell… at least thats what I think it smells like… anyways your hat sounds cool! I love pink, especially neons! Well I hope you have a great New Years!

    Maybe it’s just the winter break that’s messing us up. I stayed up until 5 am this morning, and woke up at noon ANYWAY, you know what would be really cute? You and Matt as a couple. Aw, so cute! And he’s not that much older than you if you’re 18 and he’s 23. When I was 14 I dated an 18-year-old, and some of my friends were that age whilst dating 23-year olds. Nice friends I had, eh?

    Hi. I was just browsing sites.. and I htink you have an amazing site here. I love it, I love the ‘Reads’ .. like the quotes also. And well the quizzes are cool. There’s no way someone can run out of things to do/read/look at in this site. It’s AWESOME!!
