Too many late nights…my body is seriously messed up, which is why I’m wide awake at midnight instead of asleep/sleepy And it’s New Years’ tomorrow (or today rather), which means another sleepless night :crazy:
Yeah, I didn’t phrase it very well in my last entry because I was being lazy. I meant that my uncle phoned up to ask if my aunt could stay….it’s a culture thing. Besides, my dad’s brother is closer to him than his sister-in-law (obviously).
I’m still working on the You section, there have been some other changes though, like the layout for the Ask A Question page, which is now skinned to match the rest of the site. I’m going to skin the guestbook too when I’ve got the chance, then everything matches perfectly
I had a really good driving lesson yesterday. I really cracked Matt up when I said, ‘Where’s the road gone?!’ in utter disbelief when driving around a corner (hey, it was really dark). He didn’t stop laughing for about 10 minutes, during which time I’d seen the funny side, laughed, and forgotten about it He said that he got a toy (remote controlled) helicopter for Christmas (that he’d asked for), which I have to say did worry me slightly. But then again, he’s only 23 and has the mental age of a 3 year old on crack, so I guess it’s not that surprising He did say he liked me as a pupil though, which is good, and he also described me as ‘quirky’, which is not an adjective ever used to describe me before I don’t think. It’s how I am in driving lessons though :blush:
It’s nice to have changes occasionally, and I bought some Dove shampoo and the Fructis conditioner for long hair (I love the smell of that stuff), and my hair looks and feels gorgeous. My hair always looks nice when I change shampoo and conditioner, or I don’t use conditioner for a while and then start using it again, but I’ve used it a few times now and my hair feels really silky and light. The conditioner isn’t supposed to have much effect until at least 5 washes, but my hair is already smoother. It even looks good in my bathroom mirror, which is evil and makes everybody look awful. I think there’s something psychological about being confident about your hair It makes me feel happy when I feel my hair looks good lol. And my sister is relieved, since it means I’m not wearing my New York hat any more. It’s nothing special, just pink. And I mean pink. So pink that more than one person has asked me whether it glows in the dark (it doesn’t really, if you’re interested). I went shopping the other day and a random guy giving out sweets in Next offered me a mint for it. I took one anyway of course A lot of people have told me it looks good, it’s just my sister who hates it. She’s honest, but not always great with fashion. So I’m not sure who to believe I’ll probably wear it to one of my Geography lessons next week, the guys will give me an honest opinion there lol.
Alright…well, I think I’m going to go back to Fuzz and my book in bed now. Good night! :love:

I hope everybody had a great Christmas My parents had a star named after me, and then all the rest of my presents were little, useful things and money and stuff
My aunt came yesterday, so we had a made clean-up of the house, since as usual, it was a mess (apart from my rooms )
My mum’s idea of cleaning: Clean round stuff as fast as possible and move on.
My idea of cleaning: Pick up everything there, move it to a different place, clean with cleaning stuff, clean again with cleaning stuff, wipe over with a dry cloth, dust/clean everything that was there, replace everything that was there in a neater way, and put stuff away/throw stuff away that we don’t need.
Needless to say, I re-did all her ‘cleaning’ :hmm:
Ok, so it might not sound weird for relatives to be coming round at this time of year. But what’s weird is, my uncle phoned up just a few days ago and said could she come to stay after Christmas? Still not sound weird? She came 8pm yesterday and she’s leaving at 2pm today. She lives in Germany, doesn’t speak English, and she’s left her husband and young son just after Christmas. And her excuse is she wants to do something crazy, and she wants to get over her fear of flying alone :S I’m insulted that our own family could think we’re so stupid. She’s not even a direct relative, she’s my dad’s sister-in-law. We can’t think what exactly she would want to do it for, any suggestions?
To sort out any confusion from the last entry – in England, you don’t get taught how to drive in school. If you want to learn, you do it in your own time with a private company and you pay for it. So it wasn’t really one of my teachers that came round, and it’s more relaxed.
Today’s Aims:

• Get my baby up to a toddler on Sims 2

• Add a page of avatars and bullet points to the site
• Take Pom for a walk
• Finish reading and replying to email
• Go on Starshine (end beauty contest, sort out quizzes, read u2us)
• Finish Geography case studies
• Begin learning language and gender stuff.

I was lazing around yesterday afternoon in my pyjamas playing The Sims 2 when the doorbell rang. My sister was out and my mum having a nap so I went down to answer it…and opened the door to my driving instructor :blush: I wasn’t embarrassed at the time, more surprised and confused lol. I cancelled my driving lesson on Wednesday because of New York (but then the dates changed, and so I arranged to go out with Em and Tom instead). So I had no idea that he’d re-scheduled the lesson for Thursday :S It was quite funny though, Matt said he felt really guilty for me having to get dressed, but a surprise driving lesson is fun Even though my lessons are always in the pitch dark these days :hmm:
As it says on the Updates page, I’m working on validating all the code, and changing the layout of the pages slightly. You can see a preview of how the site’s going to look in the ‘You’ section (the menu page and Freebies pages are the only ones I’ve changed so far. As this is still a really busy time of year for me (though it will start to quieten down after Christmas), I’ll be just working on that, although there will be a few updates as I’m going along, and I expect pages will be scrapped/rewritten/added too, so keep checking. I’m not looking forward to working on the Tutorials section at all; it’s going to be a nightmare :sick:
I can’t believe it’s Christmas tomorrow!! I wish my life was slow-paced so I could sit back and get excited at the build-up and then really enjoy it, but I am taking the day off, so no college work for me Not that I’ve been doing any anyway lol. Pom and Fuzz both have Christmas presents; I don’t know whether Pom will be allowed in the lounge, and Fuzz usually makes herself scarce on Christmas Day for some reason, but I’m sure they’ll enjoy them. It’s my first Christmas as an adult and to be honest, I’m not really that excited about it. But I love presents and I think my family will like what I got them, so it’s cool.
