[New Car]
Well my dad got his new car yesterday…it’s a £70,000 ($130,000?) black Porsche. I’ll post some pictures up either when I get the chance to take them, or I ask my dad exactly what type of car it is and google it lol :) It’s cool, it has a tracker thing inside which has a map of all the surrounding streets, and it zooms out far enough to see the whole of the UK and France. But, I guess it would move to show other countries if you went there. You can also program in your destination and an automated thing actually tells you which way to go. So my sister programmed in her friend’s house, but we didn’t actually go there so it just cracked us up to hear the woman saying, ‘Please turn right in 200 yards’, or ‘Please make a U-turn if possible’, because she thought we were going the wrong way to college :D
[Parents' Evening]
My dad was so proud to be showing off his new car (like Joey with the Porsche in Friends) that he actually stayed for parents’ evening, something which he hasn’t done before at college, and we have 2 a year.
My Geography teacher was really nice; he said I write better answers than he probably could, which I didn’t believe but it was nice all the same :) My English teacher made me laugh with his erratic body language and hand movements, I found it difficult to concentrate on what he was saying. But it was a whole speech about ways to improve my Literature essays, as usual  I spoke to my History teacher about the evil one, and I’m not sure what’s going to happen with that yet but at least we’re getting chapters from textbooks, so I am actually learning even if I have no idea how the exam is going to be strucutred :grr:
[The Great British Spelling Test]
That was on TV last night, and I got 44/50 (I made a few stupid mistakes at the start, but I got all the ones from the last 2 rounds right) – 88%, compared to the national average for males (60%) and for females (62%). Not bad!! They also mentioned something about the Apostrophe Proection Society which cracked me and Em up because we are sad enough to like that sort of thing :D
[Today]
Today is the last day of college before the October Holiday!! Yay! I have so much planned, my only free days are Wednesday and Sunday I think, which of course I will be using to update the site and work on college stuff to catch up before the end of the holiday. You may have already noticed some minor updates; I added a ‘Study Pack’ page to the ‘You’ section, updated the layout of the ‘Prep Pageant and Prom Maker’ or whatever it’s called lol, as well as a few little things on the main dollmaker page and all the other dollmakers. I’m working on a few more now, and I will aslo update the layouts of the last 2 which need changing
