I hope everyone has been having a nice weekend :D
I’ve changed the advertising thing; if you sign up and refer 2 people you get 2 extra months free! So basically you’re paying $3 instead of $9. Also, if you sign up for 3 months or more, you get a month free. So if you sign up for, say, 3 months, and refer just 4 people, you will get 8 months’ advertising for $9! That’s a saving of $15, and for that, I reckon you will get at the very least 5,000-6,000 more visitors to your site. Ok. I’m glad we got the whole stealing thing sorted out. The two people who originally emailed me about it emailed me again and apologised, which I thought was really nice of them, especially since it was partly my fault. But I’m just gonna write it off as a misunderstanding :)
There seem to be rather a lot of hurricanes this year; I mean, there is normally one a year, or every few years, but this year there’s been like 2-3, maybe even more? From a geography perspective it’s good for me, because I have to write a research essay and newspaper articles from the exact date are usually better than Internet articles which can be accessed any time by everyone else in the class, most of whom won’t bother to get information now for an essay they are going to write in January. However, for all the people going through the hell of a hurricane (especially those who are among my online friends), my heart goes out to you. I hope you are all okay :love: It’s not the best timing in the world, especially for those in the USA, with the September 11th rememberance day just yesterday.
Talking of September 11th, I was watching Queer Eye the other day, and this guy who was involved in 9/11 had received his & hers commemorative watches. Now, I don’t know whether he was involved in helping people, or whether he was actually one of the lucky people who escaped. But it seems to me like he was one of the people who got out alive. Not being American, I don’t know what it’s like to be on the other side. But to me it seems totally disrespectful. It’s like saying, ‘Oh yes, half of New York’s in pieces, lives have been lost and our country is being terrorised, but hey, never mind. Here’s a couple of watches.’ On the other hand, if he was a policeman/fireman, then it’s like saying, ‘Well done, you saved people’s lives and prevented there being even more tragedies. For your fantastic service, we’ll give you a couple of watches, because hey, after all, that’s what all those lives were worth’.
Maybe I’ve got it totally wrong (and it wouldn’t be the first time that’s happened). But that’s just what it sounds like to me. :hmm:
On a lighter note, I’ve been working on a lot of updates for the ‘You’ section, and tidying it up a bit. Some you can see already, but I’m going to get rid of all the ‘Your Site’ section subpages and replace them with much better ones which are more up to date and more beneficial. :love:

    I agree with ya on the 9/11 thing… I am American, so ya. But for the hurricanes… yea 3 in a row! And i was going to Florida for a visit in October! Let’s just hope they are not going to strike in Orlando or when I go!

    Aahh, i should blog more often, i’m just way too lazy and school started again last week. I hate school. I still don’t know what to send you, lol. I hope you don’t mind that your gift will arrive a few weeks later than supposed.
    Wow, would i really get that many visitors? I need to get some money ion my paypal account soon, so i can advertise my site.

    All we seem to be hearing about is hurricanes, I just feel really sorry for those people living in Florida and all the islands that Hurricane Ivon is going through. It must be horrible.

    Yeah, tis not a the best time to be in the USA at all right now, but hey, we have to deal. At least we are having presidential elections soon and have a huge chance of getting Bush out of office so that bad stuff might now happen as much to us.

I think it could go either way, but I think they should have just left it alone even though it was nice to give them something little, but still.     If I had a site I’d definately consider the site advertising thing if I had a site :)
    I agree with you on the September the 11th thing though it probably wasn’t meant like that at all if you get me. I’m gonna go and look at the you section now. Bet it looks great! Keep up the good work :)

    *nods* I agree about the 9/11 thing. I used to live in Canada but now I live in the US. I was in New York yesterday, yes, on 9/11, and everyone didn’t seem the least bit lamenting or anything…. But I dunno… Maybe that’s just how Americans are…. Anyways, I agree, that’s a LOT of hurricanes….

    Hey. Yea, there have been a load of hurricanes recently. I was quite shocked myself Yea…we might be going Florida next year, and like, wt if there is a hurricane then… I wouldnt like that. Im glad uve got the stealing stuff sorted

    I feel so bad for the people in the hurricane situations too. I don’t live in that area so I’ve never experienced one of them but I’m sure they’re horrible. And yes, the commemorative watch thing is very stupid. And I’m an American. People’s lives aren’t worth something as signifigant as watches.

    blahh, i live in florida and the hurricane crap is just getting anoying right now.. then again .. school started 2 months ago, and we’ve only got to go 14 days, because of all the dang hurricanes, and now we have to make up the days.. oh well. (lol and for ~Cat~ i live in orlando this is only the 6th hurricane to hit us! EVER and its been 3 this month.. eeks!)

    We’ve had a bunch of typhoons here on Guam in the past decade. I’ve never been through a hurricane, but I’m sure it’s almost the same thing as a typhoon. And the the 9/11 thingy sounds eeky (for lack of a better term) to me. I don’t like it. :shakes head: Anyway, I’m off to check out the ‘you’ section.

    Oh yay, I can’t wait to sign up for 9 months of advertising, although I’ll probably do it with a different domain that earlier. I’d rather switch everything to my blog.

    September 11th is a weird thing to understand from a different perspective I’ll bet. It’s weird being from America and realising the tragedy, but also realizing that half the world is totally mad at us. Even three years later the entire event seems surreal.

    The closes that ever happened in Texas, is a small tornado in downtown. And when I was little there was a monsoon. I remember carts in the shooping center in the parking lot being blown and hiting cars.lolz.

    Yeah whats with all the hurricanes? Thats all i hear about on the news now.. other then a few terrorism things. But its funny how, even in australia they overplay things on the news when they have nothing new. I’m sick of the news

    In Geography we’re going to be fo,llowing the course of Hurricane Ivan. I think it’s going to be quite interesting. :o I was watching Queer Eye as well but it was a presenter who was snazzied up. I don’t know whether it is him your talking about. Ohh well. Hope your okay x

    get how that watch thing sounds a bit pathetic. Did you know about becamse there were alot of train delays they gave out ‘mints’! OMG loads of people cud not get to work for weeks..MINTS! wtf! lol
