Exhausted

I don’t know what’s wrong with me at the moment, but by the end of the day, I’m completely exhausted. It’s only 5:30, and I already want to go to bed. I’m not looking forward to tomorrow, when I have Latin and won’t get home till about 6  So if you’re wondering why there aren’t really any updates, that’s why. I have been updating and fixing the Jasc tutorials though. ;)
A few people in my History class (and me) are thinking of complaining about our new teacher. His lessons so far this year have been like this:
-Poster work for presentation
-Presentation
-Research fascism and Mussolini’s ideas
-Presentation
Now call me quick to judge, but I think that something needs to change here. He hasn’t yet uttered a single word about the topic we’re studying, apart from to give us about 3 questions for the presentations. He spelt fascism wrong, and he told us the first lesson we had with him that a) he used to be an air steward b) he failed his pilot exams which is why he became a teacher c) he didn’t want to teach this course because he just wants to teach politics, but had to do it anyway as he’s teaching our old teacher’s classes.
He hasn’t actually ‘taught’ us yet; but whether that’s because he has no idea about what to say or whether he can’t be bothered pulling a few handouts together, I have no idea. Although I have to admit it’s a good thing he hasn’t opened his mouth much so far as he has a very strong Mancunian accent. If you aren’t familiar with it, basically it means he says ‘yous’ and pronounces ‘summer’ ‘sum-oh’ (it’s difficult to explain, try saying ‘sum’ and then a lowercase ‘o’). Yes, I’m a snob, but it’s really irritating after a while – no, in fact, it’s irritating all the time. :grr: Especially in combination with, ‘I’ve got o prop-oh Mancunian accent me’. Which isn’t very professional at the best of times and is painful to someone as linguistically sensitive as I am :P
We’re calling the dog Pom; it wasn’t my first choice but I still think it’s pretty cute. Thanks for all the fantastic name suggestions and lovely comments , maybe I should make a ‘Pet Names’ subpage??
I’d like this to be longer but I really have to go and do some work now. I have 3 essays to write on 20th century Spain for my other History teacher, some essay questions for Geography, part of my Language investigation, Latin work, and some Literature questions to do, all for this week/next week :S

Ugh, i hate history, i failed my exam for that so i need to get good grades for all the other tests and stuff. I don’t know, history just isn’t interesting to me.
We used to have a teacher like that, but after a year he changed and now he’s very strict about the subjects we’re supposed to learn.
I’m very tired as well, i hate school, i can’t wait for the autumn holiday, lol.

  7. ITT says:

Oh my, that class sounds like a killer. I hate doing presentions and crap… and if they only reason he is a teacher is because he failed his pilot exam and didn’t even want to teach this subject, what does that tell you about how your year will be? Oh my… lol

  8. Krista says:

    Pom’s a cute name

  22. Ezmy says:

Your new puppy is so cute!! School-wise I know a bit what you mean. I have a English twacher, but he’s never taugh English only Spanish and Italian, and personally my class thinks he’s not that great of a English teacher.

  23. Nicole says:

Ooh grrr I would definatly hate having to be like “what’d he say?” because I have a horrid time understanding thick English accents.. I can understand British ones totally fine– it’s Russian/Chinese I have a hard time understanding, so I know where you’re coming from
Aww Pom is a cute name! And the pet names subpage will be great
    Hugs, Nicole

  24. Britt says:

Quite strange someone who wants to be a pilot becomes a teacher isn’t it?? It’s so stupid if people start doing a job they don’t want to do and don’t like at all!! I think Pom is a lovely name for a dog, lol!!

  25. julie says:

Thank God the teachers I have don’t have an accent problem (to me at least). Sometimes when I’ll be calling a company up and a representative with a thick accent helps me out, it gets annoying because I’ve no idea what they just said. =/

You could complain. You guys aren’t learning anything. I rather him give out worksheets than presentations/projects/posters, whatever.

Good luck and gosh. It’d suck to come hoem so late! =\

  26. kxia says:

Hey.. hehe. I used to be a regular visitor when you had your old domain.. I’ve found you again! :)
Oh, bummer about that teacher. Even though it would cause him to lose his job, you still need to get quality education. :D

  27. Kendra says:

Hey I know what you mean about the teachers, some of my friends have he same problem with the accents. Woah you’re getting a lot of comments lately, well done!

  28. Loze says:

    Whee, Pom sounds so cute

  29. eleonora says:

  30. Tishi says:

wow O_O;; that really does suck lol. I hate english and history ¬_¬ But im going to have to take english in sixth form because I want to take art and theatre studies. Bleurgh. lol, and I read one of the other posts about your ICT classes… wow… if thats level 3 you probably have a phD! Uh.. Is that how you say PHD?

  31. jobby says:

lololko ur sites a pile a shite n smell a shite lolo

  32. Vikki says:

Uh, I hate Mancunian accents at the best of time. They’re so stupid. You really should complain about your teacher. Someone who becomes a teacher because they failed at another job isn’t going to make a very good teacher anyway. You have a right to a good edcuation =)
