I was updating some of my old old GM archives that I mentioned in my other blog, and I can’t believe how much I’ve changed since February last year. :shocked: I also can’t believe how crappy my blogs were, I have no idea how people managed to find anything to comment on, but then again I only got a few comments per entry! :S
Wales was fun, this morning we got up at about 8:30 – I’d forgotten what that feels like :hmm: – to go swimming and it was fantastic. For a while we were the only people in the pool, as opposed to yesterday where we went in the afternoon and it was full of screaming toddlers, huge 6 foot teenagers jumping in with as much splash as possible, and the kids in between those 2 groups that love to kick you in the head by accident :sick:
I was so tired when I got home I went to sleep lol :yawn: Fuzz came and slept on my bed with me which was nice :love: At the moment I’m eating my mum’s low fat homemade ice cream which is all creamy and gorgeous 
This was going to be a longer blog but I have to go out, so I’ll just leave with this question – should I skin my site so you can choose your own theme to view it in? It would take loads of work but I feel that s-g is a bit outdated, and it would also mean less work for me in the future as I wouldn’t have to make layouts so often. I’d have to convert the whole site to php though, and change nearly every page so it would be a big job :grr:

Nah, I don’t want you to skin your site! I mean, it would be nice but then it would become to much like a forum. I dunno, I just feel like your site is just right like it is. Becuase converting the site to php would be a shocking amount of work! And after all you did, that would be too much. Stand out, Jenni I mean, what’s harder – converting the site and changing every page or changing the layout once a month? But do think about it

I think S-G.org would be better without skinning, because it makes u individual. Well, i dnt use skinning either bt o.o I just think its nice to visit and see a new layout. With skinning, its all slighty different :S Its usually the same defualt skin. And it would take ages to convert this site to PHP

I think sticking to normal layouts is better coz its less work for you and also it kewl seeing different layouts every so often. But it wouldnt be bad if you decided to go with skins.

hey i havent commented in a while, i just realized! whoa… well, here’s what i think about the whole skin thing… it is a very good idea, and would definitely be less trouble for the future, if you’re willing to do all that work. so i say, if you’re ready to, go for it!

Skinned sites are great, but so are sites that aren’t. It’s really up to you what you do, but I think sticking with how your site is now, would be the best thing.

I hate getting up early, even though I have to for dance I want ice cream! There’s a way to do fake skinning as well but it probably takes up lots of room. I think one or two layouts would be nice but not dozens.

Yeah I agree that you should just leave it and not skin it…Well I read my old diary from last year and ive changed sooo much since them too. And youre site was still great back then as well. Thanks for making a top sites list too

I don’t think you should skin it either. I’ve skinned my blog and I’ve gotten addicted to making skins. It’s fun, but on actual sites it’s better to have only one skin so people can see your personality and what mood you’re in.

The skinning thing would be absolutely fantastic But it would be loads of work for you so only do it if YOU want to. That ice cream sounds delicious! Gimme some lol xxx

i think you should add skins to the site! i’ve always like sites with skins . changing the site would be hard though and really, really, frustrating. but I suppose after one lot of really hard work, there’s less pressure on you overall after that, so you can make no skins for 5 months then suddenly make 20 ina week or whatever because you feel like it lol

I dont think S-G should be skinned. It takes away…kind of individuality. Like if you made a layout that was a ‘happy’ layout because you felt happy, then it reflects your mood, and is individual..if that makes sense. Although it gives us choice, I would prefer just having layouts

well it would be cool if you skinned you’re site, but it would seem as if you’re jumping on the bandwagon a bit. star-girl.org and rainbow-dreams.com are a couple of the few websites with originality and i’d hat to see that dissappear.

I think sticking to normal layouts is a better idea, because I love seeing all the different layouts every month or so! Yes, skins would be cool, without skins it’s cooler! This is my first time commenting, but I’ve been coming to Star-girl.org for ages!

I really think you should stick with how ur site is. Skinning would make your site too much like others (like others have said in other comments above). I don’t skin my site. I mean I don’t have PHP so I couldn’t anyways, but even if I did, I wouldn’t skin my site because I would rather change layouts every month or two insteada goin to my site and thinkin…’wow, now I’m being like everyone else on the web’. Sites are supposed to be original
I do think you shouldn’t skin this site..but its up to you!

hehe.. yes swimming is much fun till the obnoxious ones get there. the site being skineed is all up to you, are you willing to take the time, to chagne everything. r you can just leave it, and we can enjoy one layout till you change it. either way your site will be great!

I love swimming too lol. I think it would be great if you skinned the site as although you waould have to work loads to get it skinned, you wouldn’t have to change layouts because they’ve been there long enough, just when you want too.

I haven’t gone for some swimming since god-knows-when.I kinda miss it.xD
I guess changing the layout once a month will be a much better choice,since you won’t have to do so much so much of work like you’ve said.
