Going to London

Yay! Lots more comments hehe. I feel greedy because I get a lot more comments than some people, but I still want more. I used to get about 40 per blog entry though, so it has dropped quite a lot.
And I want you to know that I read each and every comment that you post really carefully, and they make me smile :) It’s easily one of the most enjoyable parts of running a site, because I love feedback and I love to know that my work and my time isn’t wasted, and that real people take the time to read about what’s going on in my life/with the site and comment on it. I’ll try to make my blogs more interesting in the future, I promise! I guess I should’ve said something like this before; unlike lots of site owners, the number of comments means nothing to me, it’s the comment itself. Especially the length of it, and some people do think for ages about what they’re going to write, and also write a lot, which makes me feel special because they’re giving me back some of the time I spent on my site back to me, if you know what I mean? :)
I’m going to London this evening and I won’t be back till Sunday, which is when the Starstruck Zine is going to be launched! So if you’re not a member already, click here to sign up and get free Zine access for the whole of August!
(Yeah, I know the font being in white in the comments box is annoying…I’ll fix it when I get the chance. But you can always highlight your comment after you’ve finished typing to check it, right? :) )

Weird

The more hits I get, the fewer comments and guestbook entries I get. *cough* hint *cough* Weird. Although I keep forgetting to sign other people’s guestbooks so I guess that bit is my fault lol.
Someone gave me the idea of posting an entry from one of the diaries I found; but I eventually decided it was one thing to read someone else’s diaries, but a completely different thing to give the whole world access to them :) Plus it says somewhere in one that she hope she’ll be the only one reading them, which is fair enough. They weren’t that interesting really, just personal stuff about family, friends and life. I suppose they would have meant more to me if I actually knew the people in them.
I’ve totally neglected this site in order to nuture my new baby, the Starstruck Zine. It’s absolute hell trying to meet this deadline I’ve set myself (1st August), and it makes me think that no way would I do webdesign as a career haha. Not that I would get a chance to, with this crappy layout up. I really really need to put the new one up, but there just aren’t enough hours in a day. I find it difficult to understand why people are always saying they’re bored. Not so much offline now, as most of my friends have jobs now and are hooked on the latest series of Big Brother, but a lot of people are adding me/chatting to me on MSN because they’re bored lol, whereas I always have a million things to do. The grass is always greener, eh? :(
I watched my copy of ‘How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days’ again tonight. I love that film so much! A lot of people say it’s too predictable, but I don’t think it’s too bad, and no more predictable than the hundreds of other chick flicks out there. I love the funny bits, like with the photo album where she’s supposedly edited pics of them in Photoshop, and the part where she hijacks the guys’ night in. Lol that didn’t make any sense to you if you’ve not seen it. But you should!! I’m not too keen on the guy in it though (can’t remember his name), because of his curly hair haha. It either screams ‘woman!’ or ‘toddler!’; not quite sure which…

Cliche…kind of

I was helping my sister clear out her room today, and in the top of her wardrobe, I found 2 diaries, not left by the people who had the house before us, but the people before them. They aren’t that old (the first one starts about 1994), and the writing is quite hard to read, but they’re still pretty interesting. I can’t believe we never found them before! Lol. I think both of both were locked, but one was really easy to open, and the other one was one of those standard diary padlocks, and I had a key that fitted. I’m so nosy, I couldn’t resist. And it’s not like I know her or anything. She’ll be about 22 now I think. Some of the entries are very random though haha. The girl who wrote them was called Caroline, and I take it she had my sister’s room. It seems weird to think of her sitting in there, looking out of the window, writing her diary. I wonder where she is and what she’s doing now? She seems to be very two-faced, and also hypocritical, but her diaries are definitely more interesting like that
